My First Harley Experience!
Last night my husband let me ride his baby -- his beautiful Harley-Davidson Sporster. I was in total heaven!! I have ridden behind him before, but to be at the controls blew me away. I cannot get over how much I am learning, at the tender age of 45, to appreciate machines! ROFL. It just goes to show we MUST be life-long learners. If we aren't -- we miss out on so much joy!
Here's a picture of his Sporster. The little silver bike behind it is mine, of course. It felt AWESOME to ride! It's sooooo much different than the Suzuki. Way different, and I can hardly wait to do it again. My husband will probably regret letting me ride it! LOL.

Tomorrow we start back up at our cottage school. I have everything ready to go and it's only 5:35 PM. Well, let me rephrase that -- I have everything at school ready to go. I still have to go buy groceries, pack lunches, and do a few loads of laundry before getting to bed! I have been very lazy this summer about getting up early. I am not a morning person so it's going to be a big adjustment for me to get up early enough to do my devotions and exercise before getting the kids up -- but it must be done, right? Zzzzzzzzzzz.

I don't drink coffee but I do drink way too much diet pepsi. I need the caffeine! It takes me until noon to wake up! Anyone else have this problem? I really don't like feeling tired!
Thursday I go to Motorcycle Safety school. If I pass I will get my motorcycle endorsement! Yahoo!! It is really funny to think of me on a motorcycle. I'm shocking people all over town. It's really hilarious!
I finally got to order my own helmet. Here it is:

If you read this, please pray for us as we start school. I am short a teacher tomorrow who is very sick with a bad kidney infection, so I will definitely need prayers! I will be one-room schooling it with 1 first grader, 1 second grader, 1 third grader, 2 5th graders, 1 seventh grader and 4 10th graders! Until she gets back, the buddy system will definitely be utilized! God will give me the grace, I know!! Isn't He just awesome???

No wonder I haven't heard from you for the last week! Glad things are coming together! And I know that with God's help, you'll do fine until the other teacher returns! Hey, when you were ordering your curriculum, you forgot one thing...my Komodo Dragon book:)

You have been riding motorcycle all summer and keeping a great attitude so yeah you are going to do great at school. What a different lifestyle though, from free wheeling to school master. I have a hard time getting into school after the summer. I love to school but I also love my freedom and fun that I have. I think the joy of my kids actually learning something from me makes me more happy than anything. I will pray for a peaceful and fun homeschool week at the Cottage. Your choice in helmet makes me think hmmm, your a little wild at heart? Aren't we all. Enjoy.

I love reading about your motorcycle experiences. I have friends about your age that have gotten into riding motorcycle. It's not something I see myself doing, but maybe that will come later in my life. I still enjoying reading your posts; I can hear you joy!
I, too, am not a morning person. I couldn't stay up all night, but I am not a riser. I'm trying...I've yet to get myself on a consistent schedule, but I'm trying.

Oh goodness! You're not the only one who doesn't like to get up early in the morning! Count me in! It takes me sometimes until 5pm before I feel awake and have energy to do anything. Why don't I get that energy earlier in the day? Who knows....
