Actually, I loved that silly quiz!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing your insight into "Gotcha" Day. Marissa didn't move in to my home until she was 7. She would like to celebrate "Metcha" day, Adoption Day (when I adopted her) and Family Day (when my husband adopted her). She just likes to be the center of attention.

I am adopting again. I hope I am somewhere near the end of my journey. The Haitian children tugged at my heart. The boy and girl we are adopting from Haiti are 1 and almost 3 (actually her birthday is September 23). The "health report" we have gotten includes height, weight and a statement that the children are healthy and happy. That's it... so we will see what God has in store for us. I know that the little girl is not healthy. Her hair is falling out. I hope this is primarily due to malnutrition. Other families that have adopted from Haiti are discovering that there seems to be residual, permanent developmental and behavioral problems that cannot be fully explained by attachment difficulties. It is my guess that, like alcohol, malnutrition is related to long-term changes in the brain too.

Trusting God to continue to give me wisdom as I steward the kids he is blessing me with ~
