Learning to Obey
I usually make a New Year's resolution every year and every year I break it. I am a goal setter -- I have lofty, idealistic goals -- which is silly because there's no way one human could ever achieve what I set out to each year!
This year, though, my goal is very simple: obey. Simple, yes. Easy -- no!
It's not the big stuff that trips me up. It's not the things like "do not steal" or "do not kill" that I struggle with. It's the little stuff like, "you know, you really should get those dishes done now so that you won't be so backed up later" that gets me.
It's that stuff like loving my enemies and putting up with irritating behavior from other people that I have a hard time with! It's the scrubbing toilets and keeping the laundry on track that is hard.
I am going to work harder at being more obedient this year. I figure, if I can embrace that concept -- then everything else just might fall into place!

I have a zero tolerance level for stupidity. Needless to say that means I'm easily annoyed...sigh. Your right about the little things. They seem to slip stealthy through while the big stuff is easier to see flying towards me...another sigh.

Jan. 12, 2007 - Obeidence Training
Posted by ktneis
I had to train myself to a routine of cleaning in order to have time in my day. Instead of obeidence I just think of it as training myself to do something so it becomes a routine and then its not so tempting for me to be defient. I like to challenge and I would have sabbatoged myself. I wish you success with your New Years Obedience.

Flylady has her flybabies check the laundry and in the evening to take the next step. I have kept on top of laundry since I have been doing this!
