Awesome Prayer

Posted in Prayer

This prayer was forwarded to me from my friend Kristine, whom has been a dear friend of mine for over 15 years.  We went to the same church in TX, were married around the same time, had our babies around the same time, bought our first houses  . . . etc.  We've been through many of life's changes together, and one thing is for sure . . . our foundation in Christ and friendship has been strong.  Thank you for this awesome prayer, and I just had to share it in return  You are a blessing dear sis :-)

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I
thank You for my being able to see and to hear this
morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God
and an understanding God. You have done so much for me
and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for
everything I have done, said or thought that was not
pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

             Please keep me safe from all danger and
harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude
and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each
and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from
You.

             Let me not whine and whimper over things
I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin
through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And
when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth
my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

             And when this world closes in on me, let
me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a
quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm
pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't
pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do
Your will.

             Continue to bless me that I may be a
blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the
weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of
encouragement for others. I pray for those who are
lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who
are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who
don't know You intimately.  I pray for those who don't
believe. But I thank you that I believe.

             I believe that God changes people and
God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and
brothers. For each and every family member in their
households, and friends. I pray for peace, love, and joy in their
homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs
are met.

             I pray that every eye that reads this
knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation
greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for
You to fight I pray that these words be received into
the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth
that confesses them willingly..

             This is my prayer.
             In Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

Feel free to pass it on . . . .  :-)

Your Prayers Desperately Needed . . .

Posted in Prayer

My dear friend and fellow homeschool Mom, Melody, Needs your prayers desperately for her Mom (name unknown) who was diagnosed with inoperable cancer that has invaded her lungs and liver.  This is a desperate situation, as her mother does not yet know the Lord and is a self-declared athiest.  We do not know how long she has to live, and she will be starting chemo any day.

PLEASE PRAY specifically for Mel's Mom's salvation and miraculous healing.  I am praying she will have a Holy Visitation from the Lord. She desperately needs one.

Thank you, and please take a moment to head on over to her blog at HOMES COOL WITH ONE  to let her know you are praying.  Melody needs our support as a fellow homeschool Mom and sister in Christ.

Healing Rooms

Posted in Prayer

My Mom and I have recently been talking about a ministry called "Healing Rooms," where people can go and receive prayer, the salvation message, and an impartation of healing that they can take to their local church. This is a ministry that was founded by John G. Lake  (click on name for more info.)

I decided to go to the website myself and check it out.  I was surprised to find that there were over 552 healing rooms around the nation, and one very close to us here in MN.  If you want to know more, or find a healing room near you, please go to http://www.healingrooms.com/////index.php?

Quietness -- What True Communion Requires

"QUIETNESS--WHAT TRUE COMMUNION REQUIRES"
By James Goll : Mar 19, 2006

Recovering Lost Messages--Be Still and Know

I want to share with you one of the keys to greater intimacy with God. As a student of Church History and the Word of God, I have found many hidden jewels over my years of reading and study. This is a small attempt to bring to the forefront some the hidden messages that need to be recovered for this generation.

I have found that intimacy with the Lord cannot be fully realized without quietness of body, soul, and spirit. An atmosphere of stillness is absolutely essential for the believer in Jesus to enter into the experience of His deep, communing love.

In order for us to hear His still, small voice within us, we must become quiet. (Psalms 46:10), the New American Standard Version tells us, "Be still and know that I am God." Other translations of that verse are: "Cease striving, let go, relax, and know that I am God." This "knowing" goes far beyond informational knowledge. It is rather, His Spirit in union with ours, His breath in us, His heart in our heart. This "knowing" is inseparable with the spirit of revelation that causes us to "know" and thus experience our true union with Christ.

Our lives are in such a rush that often we miss the imperative of quieting ourselves as we approach God. We just run up to God, blurt out our prayers, and rush away again. When we do this, I am convinced we will never fully enter His presence.

The psalmist David summed it up when he wrote, "Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him to act ... don't fret or worry ... all who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given many blessings, and shall have wonderful peace." (Psalms. 37:7, 8, 11)

Quietness is not a new discovery or a recent innovation. It isn't even a new slant on an old discovery! It is a time-honored and proven method of fellowshipping with God that is almost totally ignored by modern-day Christians.

This type of contemplative waiting is, of course, just one of the expressions of prayer. It is not a quick fix to all our problems. It is, however, one neglected weapon in God's arsenal that will help us find His path through life's perplexing maze.

The Contemplative Lessons on Quieting Our Soul

Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ greatly influenced Watchman Nee, John Wesley, Hudson Taylor, and Madame Jeanne Guyon. Much of Madame Jeanne Guyon's life was spent in confinement and prison in France, due to her religious beliefs. Her devotional writings compel the reader to move into a living experience of Jesus Christ, and her writings are still some of the most widely read classics of our day. From the writings of Madame Jeanne Guyon (1648-1717):

Beholding the Lord

In "beholding the Lord," you come to the Lord in a totally different way. Perhaps at this point, I need to share with you the greatest difficulty you will have in waiting upon the Lord. It has to do with your mind. The mind has a very strong tendency to stray away from the Lord. Therefore, as you come before the Lord to sit in His presence...beholding Him, make use of the scripture to quiet your mind.

The way to do this is really quite simple. First, read a passage of scripture. Once you sense the Lord's presence, the content of what you have read is no longer important. The scripture has served its purpose: it has quieted your mind and brought you to Him.

Distractions--What about distractions? Let's say that your mind begins to wander. Once you have been deeply touched by the Lord's Spirit and are distracted, be diligent to bring your wandering mind back to the Lord. This is the easiest way in the world to overcome external distractions.

When your mind has wandered, don't try to deal with it by changing what you are thinking. You see, if you pay attention to what you are thinking, you will only irritate your mind, and stir it up more! Instead, withdraw from your mind! Keep turning within to the Lord's presence. By doing this, you will win the war with your wandering mind and yet never directly engage in the battle!

Disciplining the Mind

As you begin this venture you will, of course, discover that it is difficult to bring your mind under control. Why is this? Because through many years of habit, your mind has acquired the ability to wander all over the world, just as it pleases, so what I speak of here is something that is to serve as a discipline to your mind.

Be assured that as your soul becomes more accustomed to withdrawing to inward things, this process will become easier. There are two reasons that you will find it easier each time to bring your mind under subjection to the Lord: first of all, the mind--after much practice--will form a new habit of turning deeply within; secondly, you have a gracious Lord!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jean Nicholas Grou (1730-1803) lived in Holland and France and was a Jesuit priest. He entered into a deeper life with God on a retreat in 1767, where he learned to live his life in the spirit of prayer and complete abandonment to God's will. The following passage comes from his famous book, How to Pray:
The Voice of the Heart
You ask me what this voice of the heart is. It is love, which is the voice of the heart. Love God, and you will always be speaking to Him. The seed of love is growth in prayer. If you do not understand that, you have never yet either loved or prayed. Ask God to open your heart and kindle in it a spark of His love, and then you will begin to understand what praying means.
If it is the heart that prays, it is evident that sometimes, and even continuously, it can pray by itself without any help from words, spoken or conceived. Here is something which few people understand and which some even entirely deny. They insist that there must be definite and formal acts. They are mistaken, and God has not yet taught them how the heart prays. It is true that the thoughts are formed in the mind before they are clothed in words. The proof of this is that we often search for the right word and reject one after another until we find the right one which expresses our thoughts accurately. We need words to make ourselves intelligible to other people, but not to the Spirit. It is the same with the feelings of the heart. The heart conceives feelings and adopts them without any need of resorting to words, unless it wishes to communicate them to others or to make them clear to itself.
For God reads the secrets of the heart. God reads its most intimate feelings, even those that we are not aware of. It is not necessary to make use of formal acts to make ourselves heard by God. If we do make use of them in prayer, it is not so much for God's sake as our own, in that they keep our attention fixed in His presence.
The Prayer of Silence
Imagine a soul so closely united to God that it has no need of outward acts to remain attentive to the inward prayer. In these moments of silence and peace, when it pays no heed to what is happening within itself, it prays and prays excellently with a simple and direct prayer that God will understand perfectly by the action of grace. The heart will be full as aspirations towards God without any clear expression. Though they may elude our own consciousness, they will not escape the consciousness of God.
This prayer, so empty of all images and perceptions... apparently so passive and yet so active, is--as far as the limitations of this life allow--pure adoration in spirit and in truth. It is adoration fully worthy of God in which the soul is united to Him as its ground, the created intelligence to the uncreated, without anything but a very simple attention of the mind and as equally simple application of the will. This is what is called the prayer of silence, or quiet, or of bare faith.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Andrew Murray was a gifted 19th century Dutch Reformed pastor who was born in South Africa in 1828. After receiving his education in Scotland and Holland, he returned to South Africa where he spent many years pastoring, teaching, and writing. He was a staunch advocate for Biblical Christianity. He is best known for his book, With Christ in the School of Prayer. The following are excerpts from his classic, Waiting on God:

Quietness and Faith

Take heed and be quiet; fear not, neither be faint-hearted. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength. Such words reveal to us the close connection between quietness and faith. They show us what a deep need there is of quietness, as an element of true waiting upon God. If we are to have our whole heart turned toward God, we must have it turned away from man, from all that occupies and interests, whether joy or sorrow. The message is one of deep meaning--take heed and be quiet.

An Unspeakable Blessedness

As long as the waiting on God is chiefly regarded as an end towards more effectual prayer, and the obtaining of our petitions, this spirit of perfect quietness will not be obtained. But when it is seen that waiting on God is, in itself, an unspeakable blessedness--one of the highest forms of fellowship with the Holy One--the adoration of Him in His glory will of necessity humble the soul into holy stillness, making way for God to speak and reveal Himself. Then it comes to the fulfillment of the precious promise that all of self and self-effort will be humbled. "The haughtiness of man shall be brought down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day."

It will come--though at first it may appear difficult to know how thus quietly to wait, with the activities of the mind and heart for a time subdued, every effort after it will be rewarded. We will discover that it grows upon us and the little season of silent worship will bring a peace and a rest that give a blessing not only in prayer, but all day!

It is good--it is good that a man should...quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord! Yes, it is good!! It will not be done with our willing and running, with all our thinking and praying. It is the confession of our desire to sink into our nothingness, and to let Him work and reveal Himself. Do let us wait quietly. In daily life, let there be in the soul that is waiting for the great God to do His wondrous work, a quiet reverence and an abiding watching against too deep of an engrossment with the world. Then, the whole character will come to bear the beautiful stamp: quietly waiting for the salvation of God!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Simple Prayer of Application
Father, lead me into these forgotten ways. Silence the inner raging of voices contending for my attention. Quiet my soul that I might know you and your precious Son Jesus. Holy Spirit, take your liberty to write these laws in my heart. Lord, I want to know you. Teach me for your Kingdom's sake. Amen!
Blessings!
Prophecies about the new move of God in increased physical healing have been widespread recently. It was not until last month that we have seen a dramatic increase in physical healings.
I was facilitating our Advanced Discernment Training and Exploration School in Sugar Hill, GA, when two ladies, at the beginning of the one-week school, spoke to the group about the need of healing from diabetes.
As we were discussing this with the school, and asking the Lord to reveal the roots behind the disease, we were led to Isaiah 59 which speaks of the spider webs and viper eggs associated with gossip and slander. We then led the two ladies in a generational repentance for issues tied to the tongue based on Isaiah 59. Then we asked the Lord to remove the spiritual spider, spider webs, and viper eggs. The next day the ladies reported that their insulin numbers had improved dramatically. By the end of the week, they reported that the improvement had been sustained. As others had prayed the same way, there were testimonies of other healings.
During the last day of the school, the Lord led us to construct a prayer. I had first felt it was going to be a prayer of healing for diabetes, but the group came into agreement that the Lord was revealing a much larger truth about spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Through the effort of about fifty of us, including two medical doctors, our eight-hour session resulted in the following
Prayer of Release from Chronic Physical, Emotional, and Physical Disorders.
It is our prayer that the Lord will use this revelation to minister in a profound way to the Body of Christ.
Prayer of Release from Chronic Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Disorders
Lord, I repent and renounce, and I ask You to forgive me and my generational line for coming into agreement with gossip, slander, critical judgment, envy, strife, holding offenses, accusation, and jealousy.
Lord, I repent for myself and those in my generational line who came against You by lying, denying You, speaking accusations against You, conceiving and uttering falsehoods from the heart, speaking oppression and revolt, and entering into witchcraft.
Lord, I ask You to break the generational curse and agreement when accusations came into the generational line. Lord, I break and renounce assignments and agreements with any lying spirit and the generational curse resulting from that. I ask Your forgiveness Lord, and I repent on behalf of myself and my forefathers. I ask You to break the generational curse and loose a blessing. I choose to bring my spirit, soul, and body into agreement with the Spirit of Truth.
Lord, would You make null and void and cancel any reinforcement of curses and their assignments in their allotted time. Lord, would you disconnect me from all ungodly heavenly places. Lord, will You now seat me in Your heavenly places.
Lord, I repent and ask forgiveness for operating in an independent spirit when I came into agreement with gossip, slander, accusation, and when I walked away from You and the Body of Christ, causing disunity and isolation in the Body of Christ. Today, I choose--by Your mercy--to be reconciled and to be restored into the unity of Your Body.
Lord, I repent for coming into agreement with slander that has been spoken against me and receiving the offenses and not blessing my enemy.
Lord, I ask that I not conceive trouble. Please destroy the viper and spider eggs that have been placed into me: slander, hatred, self-rejection, and gossip. May no adders or spiders be allowed to come forth from this generation forward.
Lord, would You remove all cobwebs of false clothing and nesting places that may be covering my body. Lord, will you also remove the cobwebs of false identity from my body and soul, and remove all deception that clouds my perception of my true identity. And where my past generations and I have allowed the enemy to weave within me a web of false identity, coming into agreement with this illness as who I am, forgive me for gaining my identity from diseases and not from You. Release me, for You wove me in my mother’s womb, and I agree that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Lord, give me Your revelation of my true identity in Christ, which I now receive.
Lord, would You completely restore my ability to receive all that I need from You, including healing, revelation, and restoration of my spirit, soul, and body.
Lord, I forgive the Body of Christ for reacting in judgment and rejection against those who are being wounded by witchcraft and curses that are being empowered and reinforced over time. Lord, forgive me for making bitter root judgments against those who have harmed me in any way. I forgive the Body of Christ for not accepting, understanding, and protecting me.
For those who have rejected me and in doing so have further empowered the curses already against me, Lord, I choose to forgive them.
Lord, forgive me and my generational line for not having the strength to resist the enemy’s assault on my mind, day and night, and therefore, accepting the feeling of helplessness in stopping this demonic flow. Lord, would You renew my mind so that I can have Your mind, and know that I can take every thought captive to the Lord Jesus Christ. [Lord, would You renew my mind] to know that You are my sure defense, and that I am safe in the shelter of Your wings.
Lord, I ask You to raise up a standard, based upon Ephesians 4:31; remove all effects of bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, and slander, along with every form of malice. Lord, break off all generational curses, the reinforcement of curses in their allotted times in all heavenly places, and all spiritual, mental, and physical retribution. Lord, please protect those who repent and turn from their generational sin, witchcraft, and idolatry.
Lord, would You realign me with Your purpose and heal the receptors of the cells that make up my being so my divine calling and destiny will be fulfilled.
I receive the promise that I am no longer a prey of the enemy. You are my shepherd. You feed me, and I receive Your covenant of peace that I may dwell safely. I choose to be a blessing around Your Holy hill and receive the showers of blessings You promise in season that there would be fruitfulness and increase in my life. I know that the bands of the yoke are broken, and I am delivered from the hands and words of those who have made me a prey. I know that I belong to You and that You are with me. I embrace my restoration within the Body of Christ and the restoration of receptor sites of my own body.
Lord, thank You for considering my cause and my affliction and delivering me and my generations--past, present, and future--for I do not forget Your law. Lord, thank You for pleading my cause through the generations and reviving me and my family line according to Your Word. Because I trust You, Lord, I am like Mt. Zion which cannot be moved, but abides forever. So I thank You, Lord, for delivering me and my [family's generations]--past, present, and future. Thank You for redeeming me and reviving me and my family line throughout the generations, according to Your Word. For as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so You, Lord, surround me and my [family generations]--past, present, and future from this time forth and forever.
Thank You, Lord, that the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous because the entirety of Your Word is Truth and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Lord, thank You for restoring the Scepter of Righteousness.
Lord, will You forgive me and my generational line for closing the doors of Your anointing and blessing. Lord, will You now bless me and open the doors of Your anointing and blessing and release the generational blessings, gifts, callings, and goodness that my generational line did not receive.
Practical Prayer Tips
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Humility, Forgiveness& Confession
 It is really important to humble ourselves before the Lord and search our hearts and see if there is any bitterness or unforgiveness against another.  Unforgiveness can hinder our prayers. Mark 11:25-26 "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. If there is someone that comes to mind when you are asking the Lord if there is any unforgiveness or bitterness, immediately choose to forgive them, no matter what they have done.  Remember that forgiveness releases you from bondage, as well as the person you need to forgive. This is also a good time to ask the Lord to forgive your sins.  Ask the Lord to show you any areas where sin has gained entrance.
Armed, Dressed & Ready
 Before any praying, intercession or spiritual warfare we must always remember to wear our full armour of God, which is in Ephesians 6.  Spiritually, by faith,  place the armour on and then you are ready for the day.  Many people dress in their physical clothes before going out for the day, but forget their spiritual clothes (full armour of God), and wonder why they are barraged, attacked and beaten down by the enemy.  Don't pray naked!  Get that armour on (LOL) ;-) Ephesians 6:12-13
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual (hosts) of wickedness in the heavenly (places).
Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
Praying God's Word
John 1:14 And the Word  (Jesus) became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.  It is great to pray from our heart and talk openly wit the Lord about our problems, joys, sorrows, etc. but it is also good for us to pray God's word over our situations, and as He leads.  For instance if someone is experiencing sickness, they need to pray God's word about healing over their lives.Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Praying In The Spirit & With The Understanding
1 Corinthians 14:15 I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Many people pray with the understanding (that which can be reasoned), but forget that we must also pray in the Spirit (through the Holy Spirit).  This is when we can't always reason what we are praying, but are unctioned by the Holy Spirit to do so.  This is where the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are imperative including the gift of tongues, and  discernment.  Listen closely to what the Lord show you to pray.  He may unction you to pray for a man in Africa that you do not know, or sing a song while you are praying.  Let your inhibitions go and free yourself from what may be deemed comfortable as you submit your whole being to the Lord.  It doesn't matter if you have a great singing voice or not . .  lift your voice as unto the Lord and praise Him.  This is where High praise (Tehillah praise) comes in. The more  time you spend with the Lord at home, the more free you will feel to pray in public or with friends.
Get Rid of Unbelief
One of the biggest hindrances to prayer, other than unforgiveness or unconfessed sin, is "Unbelief."  The best way to get rid of unbelief is to spend time in God's word: Romans 10:17 So faith comes of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Our spiritual ears cannot understand or hear unless we open them through God's word.  The more we read God's word and believe it, the more our faith increases.  God responds to faith, after all He spoke the whole world, and everything in it and outside of it, into existence by faith. So we should pray, by faith also.  Ask the Lord to show you is there are any areas of unbelief that are hindering your walk with Him. Watch your faith grow and your relationship with the Lord become more and more free.
Set Free
John 8:36 If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Prayer changes lives,and the most important life that will be changed is yours.  Watch and see . . . it is a beautiful thing!  When was the last time you sat down and prayed together as a family, and it wasn't around the dinner table?  How free are you in your prayer time?  Are theer any hindrances blocking you from hearing God?  These are good questions to ask ourselves on a daily basis to test our hearts to see if they have become hardened or not.  if so . .then start at square one by simply humbling ourselves before the Lord.
Thanksgiving & Peace
Philippians 4:6-9
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
May the Lord bless your prayer life as you draw closer to Him everyday,
Pure One is our 12 year old daughter, whose real name actually means "pure one." She loves Art, Dance, spending time with friends, Drama class, going to musicals and plays, playing the piano, fashion, video games (in moderation), and anything sports related. She also has a keen discernment about people and is sensitive to the Holy Spirit in a beautiful way. She has such a pure heart of worship before the Lord, and it is so inspirational to us.
"The truth is, if we claim Christ, we are never justified in being unkind, cold, indifferent, or cruel. Even if true serious sin needs to be addressed or dealt with, it should be in love, and love is kind, gentle, long-suffering, it seeks to elevate others, it is hopeful, assumes the best, etc. .."
~ Jen Igarashi in her post from June 14th, 2007 "I Wanna Be A Buffalo"
"As parent educators, we need to embrace a new notion of learning. We need to help the child discern the Lords will and equip him to answer his particular call. It is the heart and soul of the child we want to touch. For our purposes, we need to engage the heart in order to effectively educate the child. Our vision of a well-educated child is a child who has a heart for learning, a child who has the tools he needs to continue to learn for a lifetime and the love to want to do it."
~ Edith Stein
"A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend, one human soul whom we can trust utterly, who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults."
~ Charles Kingsley
"Knowing the past about a person doesn't make us prophetic, but calling them into their future does! The question has never been, "Can we read the history of a man?" The question has always been, "Can we restore the future of a man?" Anyone can read the history of the man, but the Heart of the Father is to release the unfulfilled destiny of His broken children."
~ Denny Steyne
Mountain of Worship
"Out of defeat can come the best in human nature. As Christians face storms of adversity, they may rise with more beauty. They are like trees that grow on mountain ridges -- battered by winds, yet trees in which we find the strongest wood."
~ Billy Graham
