last year some of my children went to public school for the first (and probably only) time. I got to do some volunteer work there and fell "in love" with their comb-binding machine. Its been on my wish list ever since!!!!
Where can I find a machine like that? I just spent about ten dollars this week at Office Max to have them put the spirals on the books I made for them. I love the idea of saving them as a keepsake.
What history do you cover on each day of the week?
I love the notebook idea! I bought a comb binder just so my kids could make their own books. Plus, it's much cheaper to print your own activity pages than to bu a $10 workbook. Mine love word finds, mazes, dot-to-dots but despise some of the other things... and I hate wasting pages!
I was just looking at your school closet again (in archives) and was wishing you lived closer so you could help me organize my shelves!!! I am usually an organized person, but moving to a smaller house has been a challenge to that bent. Where do I start?

for commenting on my blog.
I have a comb-binding machine too, and I absolutely LOVE that thing! What a lifesaver~ well worth every penny paid for it. Your notebooks look great~ and they're one of a kind!

Teaching the Trivium
How can you give your children the tools they need to teach themselves? Long ago students were first taught how to learn. Today, students are taught an encyclopedia of subjects trivia but they are not taught the basic skills of learning: to discover, to reason, and to apply.
