Notes From The Road

I am officially blogging from the road! We've stopped in Fredericton, New Brunswick, after touring Montreal and Quebec City. Here are a few quick notes:

Day 1: Truck broke down. We spent two or three hours stuck on the roadside, a dreary 45 minutes from home.

Day 2: Successful launch. We made it to Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Day 3: Another long day's drive. We made it to North Bay, Ontario, and were then caught back up to our original planned schedule.

Day 4: Ottawa. We reached the Parliament Buildings too late for a tour inside, but looked around the outside.

Day 5-7: We toured Montreal with my brother and his family.

Day 8: Quebec City.

Day 9: We drove to Fredericton.

Day 10 (today): We went to church this morning with our dear friends and former spiritual mentors. It was great to hear him preach, and to listen to her play piano again.

Coming up: A tour of Nova Scotia and PEI. We've been reading Anne of Green Gables, and we're going to be taking a sail on the Bluenose, Canada's most famous sailing ship. (If you look up the appearance of a Canadian dime, the Bluenose is on it.) We'll also be visiting some of the earliest settlements in Canada.

I will upload pics as soon as I get home. Back to vacationing!

I'd love to see Montreal sometime. My grandma's and grandpa's families all came from there and migrated south the Massachusetts.
