Nobles are not always noble.
Nobles frequently aren't noble.
(Doug Wilson, March 2006)
Nobles are born into their position and often take advantage of those
below them. As we teach our children to be leaders, we should be
teaching them to have the character of an esteemed noble. Most
will not be born into a leadership position, but many will attain
leadership. I want to be sure my kids are noble in their
character, not taking advantage of those below them.
One way I want to encourage this is through the interactions at
home. When one of my kids is in charge, they are not "lord over"
those below them. These opportunities often happen when they are
home alone or out running an errand for me. It is important that
I discuss with them the right way to lead.
