Like most of you, we will spend a relaxing day with our family in celebration of Independence Day. This afternoon we head over to a friend’s home for burgers and fireworks. For the past 10 years we attended the longest, continuous-running parade in Texas – Round Top’s July 4th Parade. My children usually go home with a bag full of candy. Since we are in Idaho, we will miss it this year. Freedom is a precious commodity. As homeschoolers we enjoy freedoms that others don’t have. Freedom to choose what to study, when to study, how to learn, how long to study, and which educational experiences to have. As
you celebrate Independence Day, take a moment to celebrate the freedoms
you have in raising your children with your goals, not the state’s
goals. Why tell you about your own freedoms???? Homeschoolers have freedom to educate their children and here are some helps for you! 1.
