July 22, 2005 - Blog-Look

I think I finally found a template that will work for me. What do you think? It seems easy to read and easy to add to the sidebar.

I added categories, so it will be easier to find posts. I can't believe I have been using html. My husband tells me that I'm a kid with a loaded gun when I work on my website. I think he would say the same thing as I work on the html of my blog.

My hope is to have links to my favorites sites and specials we are running each week. Now, that will be a real trick to write the html to to cover all that. We'll see what happens :-)

July 21, 2005 - Trying New Templates

I do not have the time or energy to develop my own template, so I have been looking for one that would fit my blog. I thought I'd get some feedback from blog-land.

I liked the coffee cup one I tried, but the posts are so narrow that I find them hard to read. I also like the ones with dark backgrounds, but the lettering does not show up well and is difficult to read. I love bright colors, but the one with flowers is too busy. I'm now trying this one. What do you think? If anyone has suggestions or comments, please make them.

I have categories set up and want to add them to the sidebar once I decide which template to use. I can't wait to get this set up, so I can send people to this blog and they can find posts more easily.

July 14, 2005 - New Blog Look

I was looking for a new template that included a sidebar with links, categories, etc and found this new one. Since I really am a coffee-holic, I thought this might be quite appropriate. Besides, you might feel like this when you "think outside the box". Sometimes it is exhausting to not follow the mainstream of society...like this coffee cup looks! Well, what do you think about this look? I'm trying to update my blog and find something that includes the info pertinent to educating leaders. Hopefully, I will have categories up & running soon so it will be easier to read my posts.

June 29, 2005 - Picture Day

SORRY...no picture today. We have been living at my parents on a beautiful 50 acre farm since May 1st so we could work in Texas at several book shows. I wish I had the time to put up pictures and make my blog as cool looking as others. But this is our busy season!!! And we need to take advantage of it while it is here.

My hope is to improve the look of my blog by the end of this summer. Until then, think CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT. I hope the content of my blog far outweighs the look of my blog while we are working. My desire is to inspire you to think outside the box (we sure do...ask my kids if I embarrassed them this past week at the DPS office) and to encourage you in ways to educate outside the box (or the conveyor belt).
