Little Philip has ALL Leukemia Just like Tristan. We are very happy to hear that good news since ALL is the more common form and much higher cure rate. He also go the "all clear" for his spinal fluid. Which is great news. His port is in place and he was getting steroids. That is what his mom said. So their journey begins. I am so happy to hear things are going well. I will let you all know later if she starts a blog or something. For now they are at the beginning stages where she is in the hospital still in the confusion Whirl Wind. And soon Suzanne will have a newborn to take care of. So lots on her plate. Not sure how much computer time she will get. So keep Philip in your prayers when you pray for Tristan. I will have to ask her if we can put a picture up so you can think of his face when you pray. Not sure right now how they feel about his picture on public blogs.
And some pictures I was going to post yesterday....
My sweet kiddos the other morning watching TV
I told you he was back to being steroid boy!
My goof balls in the bath tub. That is a water droplet and shadow on Tristans chest.
Hair, Now you see it
And
Now you don't
Excuse the duh look, I took it in the dark room and his eyes were not happy with the flash!
And just for comparison... here he is on day one of Treatment on Feb 26th. So less then a month before.
He is a total different kid. I love him so much. But it really is like I have two different kids. He melts my heart.
I'm so glad I ran across your blog. I'll be praying for your sweet son and the rest of your family.
My son, Matthew, had ITP when he was 2. Each week he had to endure blood tests, was hospitalized for an Ivig treatment, and we met so many families whose precious kiddos had cancer. So we're blessed to be able to pray for you, too.
I'll check back to see if your friend starts a blog. Let her know that she's in our prayers, too. When Matthew was going through his ordeal, I was pregnant with Michael. :0)
I will absolutely keep little Philip in our prayers and thoughts. I added the prayer request to my site as well.
Oh the photos are just gorgeous. Don't worry the hair will grow back. Bianca now has a full head of hair even though really short still, but it is visible.
Just so you know I created a Facebook Group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=9150814462.
Please let Philip's Mom know that I think of her during these difficult times. I can't even imagine what it must be like also now worrying about the birth of their baby - although I found it challenging enough having a 3.5 month old at the time (but in having said that, having a baby is great to keep things "normal" and will give little Philip something else to focus on other than being sick).
Keep well, praying as always!

Hello Irwin family!!!! And what a beautiful family you are!!! Saw your blog on Carrie's site and are THRILLED with all your news!!!!! You are blessed with a beautiful daughter-looks soooooo much like mom, and such a strong young man-looks just like dad. and to learn that God will soon expand your family!!! What an awesome God we serve!!!! During our Sunday school discussion this Easter Sunday, we touched on the fact that God has provided doctors with so much knowledge to care for us in our time of need and Tristan is a testimony to this!!!! Praise Jesus!!! I spent all morning today following Tristan's journey on your blog and am so excited to read of his progress!!! With a new baby coming, have you given any thought to umbilical cord blood banking? It could help Tristan in his treatment/cure. I was reading info on the National Marrow Donor Program website. I just typed in umbilical cord blood transplants and it was the first site listed. Just a thought. I know you are busy but just wanted to say hi and let you know you are in our prayers. In Jesus, Darci
A place for me to gather thoughts, keep memories and gain sanity as I embark on the homeschooling journey. Also a place to update my friends and family on my son's journey with fighting a.l.l. Leukemia.
