Saturday, June 21, 2008 Princess JoJo Update
As of last I said that she was going in for a PT eval. She did and we did find that her muscle tone in her trunk is a little weaker than most. This stems from the fact that she doesn't crawl, which is more common than one might think. Like I posted before I nor her Daddy crawled and he didn't walk til he was 16mns old. So this is partly just genetics as well. God's time and His creation!
We have been doing PT 2 times a week for the past month. It does take up more of our time and it has been hard because the only open times on the days we could come are during nap/quiet time. So we have had to rearrange our schedule a bit and sadly to say I still haven't found the perfect combo for our Littles. But God is helping find the way to do it all and make their days prosperuse for HIM!
In about 3mns she will go back up for an eval and we will see if her time decreases or stays the same. She is making progress and if I thought she got into things before, she is REALLY getting in them now! |

Monday, November 26, 2007 Princess Picture

I don't have many pictures on the computer of the Littles due to not having my cord that plugs from camera to computer. (It's with Our Marine's things with him, he grabbed to many cords when taking his computer with him) So this is a picture taken at my sis' during my niece's birthday party. This is pretty much what Princess JoJo looks like now. She is always smiling, and yes at 6mns old she knows what the camera is! LOL |

Thursday, November 15, 2007 Our 6month Blessing!
I can't believe that 6 months ago today we were in a hospital room awaiting the arrival of our Princess JoJo. Sometimes I sit down and think 'wow how these 6mns have gone by' other times I think 'has it only been 6mns?'. Sadly Daddy has missed the majority of the last 2mns and the first 2mns. But he loves to read about what I journal and to talk on the phone with our Princess!
Today also marks a very special goal in my life. 6 months ago God blessed me with being able to breastfeed our new little baby. At that time I was only hoping to be able to do it the day she was born and go from there. Once we left the hospital my goal was to make it to today, but quickly my goal became to do what God had planned for us. So that is where we are today in our breastfeeding adventure. As I've written before I was not able to breastfeed Little Monkey so it is such a blessing to be able to breastfeed our Princess! Praise the Lord!

"O give thanks unto the LORD;
for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever."

Tuesday, September 18, 2007 Princess JoJo's 4mns Check Up
| Yesterday was Princess JoJo's 4mns Check Up. She weighed 15lbs and was 24.5" long. She's in the 75% for her age. Princess JoJo has had some respiratory problems. When we went for her 2mns check up it was mostly a post nasal drip at night and a little sneezing. After her 2mns check up it turned into a really nasty cough that sometimes she would cough so hard that she would projectile vomit mucus every where. We've used, baby vicks on her and me (for when she is nursing), a vaporizer, steamy bathrooms, propping her up, ect... So yesterday the Dr put her on nebulizer treatments. Then she will be going back on Thursday to see how they are doing. So no shots right yet, because I didn't want to add on to our problems especially with meds and we are still debating continuing vaccines. So hopefully these these treatments will help her wheezing in her lungs. Then she also has some fluid in her ears, so who knows what all will be going on with her?! |

Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Princess JoJo started Ceral
We've hit another milestone for the Princess. Today we started Ceral. We had it for dinner tonight. I'll only be giving it to her for breakfast and dinner for now, just til we get the hang of it. After about a week or so we will move on to some Homemade Baby Veggie Food! Little Monkey wouldn't eat powdered ceral for me and Princess JoJo doesn't like it to much but she is doing much better than Little Monkey did. When I know she can handle it I will switch to the jared ceral unless I find another alternative, as this time we are making our baby food! |

Friday, August 24, 2007 Update 2
Well Princess JoJo is now 3mns old and going on 4. Time flies, yet it seems so long ago. It's been a year ago since the Lord blessed us with getting pregnant and the past 12mns have been such a blessing and everyday that blessing grows in so many ways!
Princess JoJo is holding her head up by herself, learning to sit and pull up to sitting position, rolling over from belly to back and almost there from back to belly. She can't stand tummy time, but she still has to have it and we try to make it as enjoyable as we can. She is cooing like crazy, but she is still really good in church (Praise the Lord)! I'm very thankful to the Lord for letting her nurse so well and answering my prayers with that! Soon she will be introduced to baby cereal, but we will take it slow. For the most part she has put herself on an eating schedule, but some days she likes to mix it up still. Since she was about 3wks old she started sleeping for 10pm to 4am, then 5am and then 6am. At about 7wks old she started going for 8pm to 6am and then at 8wks started going from 8pm to 7:30am. Everytime she has given up a feeding it's been on her own and not at any coaxing from me! She still sleeps in our room at night and we are working on her taking naps in her room during the day. However she doesn't sleep well during the day on her own. But who can complain when she sleeps well at night, unlike Little Monkey most nights. So that is just something that I am praying guidance in.
Right now she still goes every where with me, I don't allow her too far from me! If you are too see me out of the house, and a lot of the time in, chances are you see Princess JoJo in my arms or in a sling! She does very well at church, Sunday School, and Sunday and Wednesday services. She isn't loud and very rarely cries, most of the time she sleeps after the worship part of the service is over. With Little Monkey we were already having to sit out of the service with him and then started taking him to the nursery. I'm not real keen on doing that with Princess JoJo. For some reason, my mama (Nana) says it's because she's a girl, I treat her very fragily. When she is more mobile herself we start seeing about taking her into the nursery, but even then if she is good in church with us that is where she will stay!
She's our little Princess and she is defiently given the Royal Treatment! |

Tuesday, May 22, 2007 Princess JoJo is here!
She's here!
Princess JoJo was born at 1:14pm May 15th. She was 8lbs 12oz and 20" long. She is beautiful! It was a fast labor! Praise the Lord!
My beloved and I went in at 5am to the hospital on the 15th for our scheduled induction. I was 3cm when we got there. They got the IVs going by 5:30, at 9:30 my Dr decided to break my water. When Little Monkey was born my water broke and 5hrs later he was in my arms, so we were sure that she would be here within that time. My contractions got worse around 11:30 and even worse at 12:30. I went from 6cm to having our little Princess in my arms in less than 30mins. I only pushed for a couple of minutes. Princess JoJo came faster than Little Monkey, it was awesome!
We came home on Wednesday afternoon. We had to go in on Friday for Princess JoJo's checkup. She had lost a little more weight, but over the weekend she gained some back. Yesterday we went for another checkup and she is doing fine and we don't have to supplement! Next week she has to go for her 2wk checkup and has to be up or above birth weight, so we are praying all goes well. Since the Lord has blessed me with a great time nursing Princess JoJo, unlike my time with Little Monkey, we are really trying to keep it going without having to introduce a bottle.
Little Monkey LOVES his little sister, or as he says "my little darling". He wants to hold her and play with her all the time. He got to enjoy a week with Nana and Pap as they came to take care of him and be with us. This weekend he gets his YaYa! He's doing really well with her being here. We have been trying to do the best we can to make him included and not feel left out. It's been great having Daddy off so that he can spend special time with Little Monkey.
Things are getting into their normal routine around here, so I hope to be able to blog more often! God bless everyone! |

Wednesday, May 9, 2007 Our last check up
Today was our last check up for Princess JoJo. Tuesday is the big day, unless God brings her before then!
Everything is going well. She is still measuring big. I am still having contractions. My BP was up again today, but that is probablly because of the contractions and the anticipation of Tuesday. I'm becoming more emotional and not knowing why all the time. It is really starting to get to my Hubby that I am being so emotional already. He is trying so hard to be supportive!
We are just praying God's hand in the birth and delivery of our Princess JoJo and can't wait to blog about her birth and coming home! |

Wednesday, May 2, 2007 37 weeks
Yet another appointment today. Still all scheduled for the 15th. Little Monkey got to be the "doctor" again today. I'm having bad contractions, but nothing that is aming me in labor. That is how it went with Little Monkey too. Of course that made the labor ones a bit better since I had been working up to them all this time.
Just less than 2 weeks and we will be holding our Princess JoJo in our arms! |
