Well, my resolve didn't last long. Actually, DH was a contributing factor because he put mounds of unfolded stuff there, so I guess I shouldn't feel bad. Life has been hectic. VBS last week, which involved DH preparing dinner for around 70 staff people each night, monopolized our days even though it started at 6:30. Grocery shopping and food prep were the order of each day, in addition to 14yods's M/W/F volunteer schedule and just-turned-7yodd's violin lesson on Tuesday. We did manage to squeeze a day of swimming in though.
Yesterday 7yodd and I dropped 14yods off at volunteer then went to WalMart to shop with her birthday money and to get her annual (which doesn't always happen annually - I'm behind on a couple of the kids!) portrait taken. We picked up 14yods and went for lunch, then they both had doctor appointments. DH had stayed home with the other two kids. (There are advantages to him being home, but I'm so glad he's working today and tomorrow. It's day-by-day right now, but still God provides. That's another post.) Our 14yods has had a bump under the skin on the palm of his right hand near the thumb for several months. I asked a nurse friend about it and she said to watch it and if it gets bigger to definitely take him in. Since it hasn't gone away, and since I was taking 7yodd for her annual exam, I scheduled him also. After the appointment, I brought her home and went over to the radiology department at the hospital with him so they could take some "pictures." We'll see. It's probably just a cyst, but he is quite phobic about needles, etc., so he's stressing it already.
We had a quick dinner and went to see Wall-E with some movie passes our daughter had received for her birthday. That was fun. It was really cute. Some lessons to learn there. See Plugged In Online's review HERE -- it's very positive.
Cleaned up a bit this morning, and the friends the kids wanted to have over to "swim" were busy, so our 14yods mowed a section of the lawn and inflated the pool, the kids rode bikes and "dunked" for a bit, and I took down and boxed up most of the wall decor and pictures/plaques on the walls and shelves. It looks so bare. But it will get progressively so, won't it?
Having lunch now, violin this afternoon, and perhaps the lawn will get finished before dinner. Nice day. Much less humid and comfortable that it was all week.
Hope you're having a blessed day.
