More of Him - Less of Me

• Jun. 17, 2008 Tuesday Thoughts

We had a wonderful Father's Day on Sunday.  We didn't do a lot, but it was really nice and relaxing for my hubby.  I fixed him his requested meal of Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Pan Gravy, Summer Squash and Turnips.  We don't eat like that much anymore, so it was a real treat for him.  I think he really enjoyed his day.

Here's a couple of pictures of the prayer shawl I finished not too long ago.  It's just like the one I made my friend, but blue to match my jeans and I did the fringe differently.  It's not all uniform - I made it different lengths.

It gives it a rather funky sort of look.  Here's another picture of my shawl where you can see my kitty getting ready to make herself comfortable on it.  The yarn is so soft, all the pets really like to lie on it!

If you enjoy crocheting, you'll find the pattern HERE.  It's very quick and easy, but beautiful when you're done.

                                                      God bless you ~ Julie

Good to hear you had a great Father's Day weekend. Your meal sounds yummy.....well, all but the turnip greens. Your shawl is pretty. I loved the pics of the bluegrass concert. What a cutie pie your son is. Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Love ya friend!

Many have tried and all have failed to teach me to crochet. Maybe some day we will live closer and you can teach me! What's the temp your way. It's 115 right now and it's 3:10.

That does look so comfy and soft!

And mmmm.... the chicken sounds delicious! I am not good at frying chicken, which is probably a blessing. ;-) But I do make a pretty mean chicken fried chicken!
