On Friday we received a phone call from Ruth to let us know that Roger's dad had just died from a sudden heart attack. It was a shock to everyone, but we take comfort from the fact that he knew the Lord. Ruth sent us an email with a quote from her daily calendar for that very day.. "The wicked is banished in his wickedness, but the righteous has a refuge in his death." Proverbs 14 :32 NJKV
For the person who has trusted Christ as Saviour, death is only the beginning, not the end.
What a glorious thought with which we can comfort ourselves, no matter what our circumstances.
We will see Christ someday if we have put our faith in Him.

Roger is flying to NZ in the morning, to arrive on Wednesday at 6.00am. The funeral will be held the next day at 11.00am. We would appreciate your prayers for a safe trip for him as he needs to take precautions due to his DVT last October.
