Part 1: This is Christian. He is my baby brother. Kevan is not the youngest brother anymore. He eats a lot.
Part 2: These are my new glasses for school work. I want 92 more people to visit me so I can hit 1,000 visitors.
Once upon a time I was on an ocean liner going across the Pacific. Then unexpectedly a storm with lightning crashed into the ship. I found a lifeboat. I was tall enough to see the lifeboat before others did because I am twelve years old.
When I got the lifeboat down, a couple feet away was a giant wave. The wave turned over my lifeboat before I could help other people. I threw my dog, Barky, into the boat just in time. I was scared. The lifeboat plunged in ocean.
I was alone with my dog.
I am keeping a journal about an unknown island; I am scared and excited.
10/16/07
Now I'm on an unknown island with my only friend, a dog. His name is Barky.
"Ouch! Why are there thorns here?"
"Rrrrrr...rrr..uffff!"
My dog sounds like he agrees.
Chapter 2- The Tree House
I had to build a tree house before it got dark. I looked at my watch. It said, 3:28. I had four hours and 32 minutes to build my tree house.
"Oh, great. I only have four hours. If I don't get it built it will be uncomfortable to sleep on the sand."
I found some logs.
"Come here, Doggy, Doggy," I said. "I need some help hauling the logs."
"R-r-r-ruff!"
I reached down and tried to pick up the first log. My muscles stretched. My eyes squinted. Instead of picking it up, I harnessed it to my dog.
Hours later, the treehouse was finished.
"I better fish for some fish," I said.
I got a stick and tied my shoelace to the end of the stick. I found a crooked, sharp stick to use as a hook.
I dug in the dirt and found an earthworm for bait. I tied it onto the hook and put the end of the string with the bait into the stream.
Then I fished.
A couple times I lost the fishes.
Suddenly I felt a jerk! I yanked my pole out of the water. My mouth opened wide! I jumped up and down! A big, blue fish hung from my hook.
I ran back to my treehouse.
I made a fire and cooked my big, blue fish. It tasted like paradise!
Then I made a bed of straw in my treehouse. I was tired, very tired.
I went to sleep.
Chapter 3-The Rattlesnake
The next morning I woke up. My mouth was watering and my stomach rumbled. I got my fish from dinner last night and ate it very fast!
Then I climbed out of my tree house with my dog under my arm. He wiggled and tried to get away. "We're almost to the ground, Barky. Don't wiggle."
When I got to the ground I saw a rattlesnake! My eyes opened wide. My hands were shaking. I was too scared to move. "C-come on, B-barky," I finally said.
I was still trembling when I climbed back up the ladder with boards to cover my windows. I was worried that the snake would come in my tree house. That night I made a slingshot out of a Y-stick and my last shoe lace. I kept that by my side until the next day. Chapter 4-The Snakebite
When I woke up I held my slingshot and looked around my tree house. I didn't see the snake. I looked at my dog's bed. My eyes flew open and I gasped. My only dog was not there!
I jumped out of my tree house and climbed down the ladder. I saw my dog. He was fighting the rattlesnake! "Oh, no!" I shouted.
I grabbed my slingshot, picked up a rock, and fired it at the snake! I missed! I picked up another rock and put it in my slingshot. Boing! The rock flew from the slingshot and hit the snake on the head. The snake was dazed. Barky limped back to me.
I grabbed my dog and climbed into my tree house as fast as I could. I put Barky in his bed. Had the snake bit him? Would he die?
Chapter 5- The Gold
I looked at Barky's snake bite. Or maybe it wasn't a snake bite. I peeled the fur out of the way and then I saw it!
"It's not a snake bite!" I yelled. "It's a thorn!" I jumped up with a smile on my face. Then I forgot that the thorn was still in there. I pulled it out.
Barky whimpered while I was pulling it out. It bled a little bit.
I hugged my dog and said, "You stay in the bed, Barky. I'm going to do my morning walk."
When I got back from my walk, I climbed the ladder to check on Barky. Then I sat down to catch my breath. My mouth was dry. That meant I was thirsty. I walked to my water bucket and gulped some water.
I climbed down the ladder to make sure the snake was gone. I looked, and the snake was gone.
But I saw something shining---on a rock!
"Wow! That might be gold!" I shouted.
I ran to the place where I saw the "might-be gold." Could it be...? "No way can gold be here---unless there is a whole bunch of gold here. Is it gold? Is there more?" I wondered.
Chapter 6-The Digging
I looked closely and-it was gold!!! But how could I get it out of the rock? I climbed up the ladder to think of this. After about a half an hour I climbed down the ladder. I found a piece of metal and started to make a sword with my pocket knife. When I was finished with the blade, I started to carve the handle. It took me about three hours. When I finished, it looked great. Now I can build more furniture for my tree house.
I then picked up the sword and started to dig the gold out of the rock. I was so tired after I dug the gold out. I then put it in my tree house. I was asleep in 30 seconds.
Chapter 7-The Rescue
When I climbed up the ladder of my tree house, I saw something. It looked like the sail from a boat. I was so excited I jumped up and said, "Yay!" But how do I get their attention? I thought. "A signal fire!" I said out loud.
I scurried down the ladder. Then I found some wood and started making a fire.
My hands were wiggling because I was nervous. Would the boat get away before I started the fire?
Barky barked and ran around me.
The fire went up. Smoke went up. A lot. I kept putting wood in it.
The boat turned around and came towards the island.
I smiled and thought, Wow! It worked. It's coming closer and closer. I think I might get rescued now.
When the sailboat got close enough, I picked up Barky, stuffed a little gold into my pockets, and went towards it. I saw one person on the boat and I yelled to him, "Help! Pick me up and take me with my dog to the main land."
"I'm coming. Hang on."
A few minutes later, I was on the boat. As we sailed away, I looked back at my island and saw my tree house. I think I'm going to miss it a little bit.
This was my Start Zone. When I finish it I get my book. Yesterday I finished it. Now I have my book. It looks like this: I also get a shirt. It looks like this:
Last night we it was Bring a Friend night. I couldn't find any friends to bring because everybody who is my friend goes to AWANA already. We played Dodge Ball for Game Time. That's my favorite one. We also did Handbook Time. In Council Time we did songs and short skit.
I like pod-racers and Star Wars. I like Lego. My favorite Lego set is the podracers. I have lots of Lego. I like space Lego. I wrote a story about Batman Lego.
This is not a school-stuff blog. If you're interested in school stuff, do not come on this blog. Because it is about Lego and Star Wars.
There's not even science in this. If you think there is science, there's not. Even though it is about space.
