WE'VE GOT AN EGG!! A beautiful little blue Robin's egg *grin* Mama Robin must feel safe enough to raise her babies outside the kitchen window because we found this little blue jewel waiting for us this morning :) She's sitting in it again right now so perhaps tomorrow we will have 2 little blue eggs!
Aren't robin eggs the most amazing color ever!?! We had a nest here this spring, too, but something apparently raided the nest and ate the eggs. :-(
We did get to watch a successful brood of house finches from nest building all the way to fledglings leaving the nest, and that was wonderful!
