I love new curricula!

Posted in School

I bought Mystery of History for next year and also Christian Kids Explore Biology.   Surprised aren't you?  If you read my entry about science, I bet you never guessed I would buy the infamous Owl Pellet curriculum.  (psst, I really like it)  I mean she has us making jello and cupcakes and fried shrimp.  What's not to like about a science curriculum that has food?    I always get excited about new books.

I think I am halfway ready for next year.  I have MOH, CKEB, Spelling Power and Saxon Math for everyone.    I have  A Reason for HW for Sydney, still need it for Reed.  I need LLATL for Spenser and Reed.  I am considering Matin Latin or Speedy Spanish but haven't decided.  And i need to figure out what to do about Bible.  I think I may stick with SOS Bible because they enjoy the computer time, and Reed will be old enough for it.  It seems to be good.  Spenser is already working on the 6th grade Bible, so he will be a little ahead.  Which is good because some days it takes a long time, so we don't get to it every day.

We love Mystery of History and will be using volume 2 next year.
I have been working out our 'curriculum' list for next year, too. Fun! Fun!

By the way, thank you for visiting my new blog.
I just wanted to let you know that I posted the recipe for wet burritos here:

I love getting ready for the next year...it's my favorite bedtime reading! I have never found a Bible curriculum that I like, so we just read through the Bible each day. I sure would love to find something.
