Science is fun!

Did I say that?

We did our projects today with 2 other homeschool families.  We made creation books and then made Jell-O cell models.

We made cell models out of Jello and candy.  It was a hoot.  Orange jello (the cytoplasm), the mucleus was a chocolate covered cherry, m&m (lymosomes) gobstoppers (vacuoles) sprinkles (ribosomes) raisins (mitochondria) and then for rough ER and smooth ER we used sour worms and gummy worms.  They looked cute.  I will post a pic but you can't tell anything through the Ziploc cell membrane.

Never fear, the superheroes are here! hehehee...that is such a GREAT pic! :-)

And as far as the cells go, it looks a lot tastier than the ones I remember making in the 9th grade...I remember them being edible but not tasty...blech! Yours looks much yummier!

God bless you,
Marsha

It looks like everyone was having a blast. Love the idea for the edible cell model. I'm gonna steal that one and use with my dc. Thanks for sharing.
