Mad Lib Contest
Mamma1420 is having a contest.
Here is the mad lib I created:
Four hundred years ago people knew little about our fuzzy universe. They thought that the earth was the center of the entire chicken and that the sun and all of the feet revolved around it. But then a/an Chinese named Copernicus discovered the truth. The earth revolves around the potato 64 times a year. Copernicus, whose last name was Hamilton, was born in Warsaw, and he used one of the first valiant telescopes, which was invented by Spenser. This primitive telescope was little more than two pieces of pizza stuck on each end of a/an farm. In 1600 an Italian doctor named Galileo expanded Copernicus's mysterious theories, but during the Inquisition in Italy he was heroicly arrested. After sleeping for six months in jail, Galileo was forced to count.

I just wanted to come by and thank you for your response regarding my little science project. Does CKEB have the student do vocabulary words? How is the text written- do your children like it?
I'm looking at a few prepackaged products: Christian Kids Explore Earth Science, Living Learning Science: Earth/Space, and REAL Science. I think I want something already put together to avoid spending too much but once you make your own lessons once it's hard to relinquish that freedom. I'm going to review each of these products on my blog - for me and for everyone else. And do a mock up of what I would purchase/use if I created my own.
After looking at the catalogs, (rainbow resource is very good too) I was so overwhelmed at all the choices! I pray that by doing this publicly I will help others who feel the same, especially classical ed homeschoolers. Again thank you! Please don't be a stranger, I try to visit all who are my friends list at least weekly or bi-weekly. Everyone is wonderful and different, I just have to move up the line until I finish! LOL. Have a blessed day!
