The Fruit of the Spirit

Tonight for the children's Bible Study at church, we started a unit on the Fruit of the Spirit. I almost did it as one lesson, but have decided instead to do it in either 4 or 10 weeks. We will see how it goes as I prepare for next week. I think I will probably do it in 10 weeks and devote one lesson to each fruit. Tonight we did an overview of the whole verse and talked briefly about what each fruit means. I had 7 students from age 3 to 11, LOL. Sometimes I have as many as 16 or 18 in those ages. (sometimes my friend has mercy on me and takes the ones 5 and under) It can be hard. But we had fun. We played Fruit of the Spirit Bingo that I got from homeschoolestore.com. I also gave them a coloring page and a circle a word that I printed from various places online. I want to do a unit on Proverbs when we finish this-- anyone have a good ine they have used? |
