What We're Reading

We went to the library today-- we haven't been for a few weeks (thank goodness we can renew online.) Here's what we're reading:

for Preschool/Kindergarten:
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (one of our favorites)
Sheila Rae the Brave (another favorite because we have the cdrom version)
The Hundred Penny Box (Spenser read this in kindergarten so I thought Sydney would like it too)

For History:
books about Ancient Rome
The first marathon: the legend of Pheidippides

For Science:
all kindsof bug books

For a family read aloud:
The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, because all 4 kids are in the play

For Spenser:
Battle : a visual journey through 5,000 years of combat (because he's 12, LOL)

For Reed:
a Bailey School Kids Book and another from a different series by the same author

For language arts:
Reed-- A Wrinkle in Time
Spenser-- The Red Badge of Courage (if I approve it after I read it)

Oh man. The battle book would speak VOLUMES to my 11yo boy. It's funny how long a little boy can pour over the pages of books like that.
Don't you just love the libarary?
