My dentist experience

Posted by Kirsty on Jan. 10, 2006 @ 8:13 PM

Well I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

This is how it went...

First they put an oxygen mask on my nose and some nitrous oxide. It made my whole body go numb, and I felt like I was in a dream. I remember my mom and the nurse talking to each other but I don't remember anything they said.

Then the dentist came in and gave me several shots on the top of my mouth.

Then he casually said to me, "There might be a little pressure but this won't hurt"

so I felt a little bit of tugging and, there was my tooth!

He did the same on the other side, and that was it.

Now for the bottom,

I expected the same thing to happen, but, no, it couldn't be that easy.

He started to pull and I felt the pain, my whole body went stiff.

I closed my eyes and prayed that it would be over as soon as possible!

After the longest ten minutes of my life, they were finally done.

The nurse put some gauze in my mouth and told me to bite down, I found out a few minutes later that I would have to keep it in my mouth for about thirty minutes.

I still can't believe I'm missing 4 teeth.

But thankfully now I can look back and it's over.

Thank you for your prayers!

Ewww...I hate getting teeth pulled. I've only had one tooth pulled before and that's enough for me.

But now my dentist is talking about removing all four of my wisdom teeth. That will require surgery....

But anyways, I'm glad you're doing good!

Well, I'm glady that your experience wasn't too bad (it could have been worse, you know).
When I had my baby teeth (when they were starting to become loose) I couldn't bring myself to pull them out myself (oh, the pain!) and I hated it when Dad did it. One time I had been so bad about it that the dentist had to pull two out for me. I decided that that was the way I wanted all of my teeth to come out but that didn't quite work out. (It certainly didn't hurt as much as when my Dad pulled them out.)
I should go. Hope to see you soon!

Wow. 4 teeth pulled! Holy beans! I am so sorry! I am glad it wasn't too bad. I hate getting teeth pulled. :oI

Btw, it is very weird. I used to check and see if you posted something new on your blog every day. Then you stopped posting stuff for a LONG time. But I kept checking! Now I finally stopped checking every day, and then I come onto your blog a couple days later and find out you have 2 new posts!!!! Diffucult child!

You are such a good friend. Even though you do try to confuse me w/ your blogging. Lol!

Better run!
