Band is Grand!

Home schooled students in central Oklahoma are blessed with the opportunity to be involved in a quality music program---a band, just for home schoolers!      Not only is the band open to children of all ages and abilities, but parents are also encouraged to participate.  Even if you have never played an instrument before, you can learn.  My children and I have played in the band for 5 years now, and none of us knew how to play a band instrument when we first started.  Truthfully, I can say that band has enriched our lives in a fun and exciting way.      The beginning and intermediate bands meet in Shawnee on Thursday mornings at University Baptist Church.  You can see in the pictures that Shawnee has a good-sized group of children (and a few moms, too), that meet for intermediate band directed by Mr. David Bellows.  If anybody has any pictures of the beginning band, please email them to me and I will add them to this site.  Yes, band really is grand!
