On September 14th PCHEA kicked off the new homeschooling year with a rip-roaring Fall Social! This well-attended event took place at Slide Park in Shawnee where a delicious potluck supper was served. With both old and new members present, everyone had the opportunity to renew an old acquaintance or make a new friend. The weather was perfect for an evening in the park, and the children ran around and played while the adults visited together. To all who attended the picnic, thank you for making the evening a success!

Moms' Night Out: A Refreshing Evening
A warm thank you goes to Julie Cockroft for opening her home to us [for the Moms Night Out]. We had a lovely visit and yummy desserts. There were a mix of newer members and some of us who have been involved for several years. It was so nice to have the gentle music playing in the background of their beautiful home with no distractions. I came away feeling refreshed and encouraged, not to mention feeling more bonded to some wonderful other home educating moms. We really need to do this at least once a semester, maybe twice in the second one! It was a great way to spend an anniversary evening when my husband had to go into work. Thanks ladies and thank you again, Julie. Girls, you dont want to miss out on the next one if at all possible.
Peacefully, Pam White
