Passion for Purple

Sometimes material just presents itself....

I've been suffering from bloggers block. I don't want to bore you with the mundane happenings in my house, however sometimes material just presents itself. Take tonight for example. We were enjoying a relaxing evening, watching the NASCAR race and for some reason all the smoke detectors go off. Believe me they were loud. The cause of this you ask? Well, Julia had a candle burning in her bedroom, the flame got to high and it started to smoke. The picture does not show the damage very well, but , there is a burnt mark on her wall and  you can see the damage to the candle.Where she is pointing is where the flames were when she got to the candle. . Sigh...... Our poor dog didn't know what to think about the noise, he just ran to me cowering, while I covered up his ears. LOL..

Oh my, what a blessing nothing else happened. Those alarms are so loud.
I understand about bloggers block, as I've had it alot myself lately. But I put pictures out lately, that's been helping. :)

Oh, that's scary. I wonder why the candle decided to turn into an infernal? We have about 9 smoke detectors in our home and I don't think they have ever gone off because of smoke, but they use to ALWAYS go off because the little green blinking light would attract bugs and they would walk across the sensor and set it off. If the bug stayed on too long, the smoke detector would set off ALL of the detectors. Our dog now has a permanantly nervous disorder - beepphobia, fear of all beeps. She will follow us around for half a day if even she hears the camara beep. Sometimes she shakes so much her teeth chatter. Oh, and my husband recently cured our bug-detector problem - he put duct tape over all the little green blinking lights.

It was good your detector went off for that, you could have had quite a fire. Praise God for His care!

I am so glad that you caught it in time before something really bad happened. Poor dog..our doggies HATE the sound of the smoke detector...I am glad everything is ok.

Have a great day!
