How the natives dress
Living in the desert you live with HEAT. When the temps drop and the wind blows it can be 'chilly'. While the rest of the country is enjoying their 70 degree weather and refusing to put away their shorts and swim suits, the natives here are cold!!!!. My son was born here, he is a native, I am a transplant. This is how the natives dress when the temps drop to 70. I even saw women at WM wearing fuzzy snow boots. In fact Julia was wearing her winter snow boots to work and everywhere else..LOL..
P.S. The temps are going back up to 90 in the next few days, but it will drop again and eventually get down to 40's and 50's. So we will be pulling out the heavy winter gear then!! LOL
Leave a comment, I love comments! 13 Thank you!

LOL, his blood is thin! So do you mean that since you are a transplant that the cooler weather does not send you into warmer clothes? We are 80 again today. I am ready for the 60's they are calling for tomorrow and the rain. We are so dry.

The moms so overdressed their babies when the weather got down to 60 or so. Then they brought them to me with heat rashes! It is in the 40s and 50s here and we still have students in shorts, I wear tshirts to go to meals, and my kids still insist on wearing flipflops outside. It is funny the difference of attire when we have guests. I happen to like warm clothes, though.

HI!
We are experiencing a wonderful cool down in Indy. I cannot do the dessert heat, but the cold is okay by me. Your little guy is adorable!
Blessings, Karen

LOL, the high today here was 53 and we took off our jackets when the sun came out & no hats. It was 33 here this morning & I wore my light gloves out to the barn. Boots we reserve to about 4 inches of snow or deeper. Your son would turn into a popsicle up here.

Cute photo.
It is cold here at the moment, our fire has been on for the last couple of days, and we have been getting all the winter woolies out of the cupboard!
Hope you have a good weekend.

What a cute smile!
I live on the NW tip of the Oregon coast and I am usually cold all year (I am a So. Cal. transplant). We have had a very cool/wet "summer" which makes the coming winter a bummer. I NEED sun and warmth to get me through to June. So I appreciate every single sunny day we get (like today). I've been thinking about getting some fur-lined boots myself.
I love the ark photos! Wouldn't it be fun to walk inside that amazing structure? Thanks for sharing.

I understand!!!!!! We are from the high sierras in ca. ( now living in va) We also lived in Death Valley for a year. When it gets down to 70 you are cold! We visited "home" a few years back and marveled at how the kids loved the dry air. In one day we went from 120 degrees to 32 degrees ( and snow ) I love the desert and would love to be back home!

LOLOL!!!! As a Colorado native, I have to laugh at all the people out with their snow boots, mittens, warm, fuzzy hats, and all that in this weather. PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!! Really??? I go without a coat in the snow at times because it's not really snow here - just a light dusting!! LOLOL My sister, who is also a Colorado native, has to wear all her warm fuzzies now, too, but I'm attributing that to the fact that she's just getting old. I mean, she's 10 years older than me. ROFL!!
Seriously, I loved your post! Gave me such a chuckle!
God bless you - Julie
