I'm sure some folks think it is yummy. I'm sure the original poster does, otherwise why would she post it? And I'm CERTAINLY not saying anything bad.. but..
there is no way I could microwave a grilled cheese sandwich. Just the thought of it makes my teeth curl up. (LOL)
Now, I'm all about the time-saving aspects of this idea. I get that. But I just can't get past the part of microwaved bread.
I don't even like reheated pizza (crust becomes nasty.) I'd rather eat leftover spaghetti cold (which I'm sure makes other people's teeth curl up.) And please oh please, do NOT ask me to buy multiple loaves of bread at a time and freeze them till they're needed! AACK I'd rather walk to the grocery in a monsoon, uphill, in my knickers than eat bread that has been frozen. (Trust me on this. I'll send DH to the mini-mart to pick up a quick pack of hotdog or burger buns RIGHT before we need them, rather than try to guess on when we might want to gril out and will need buns.)
I'm sure folks think my aversion to frozen bread and then (even worse) microwaved bread is an oddity. But it is one I'd pit against anyone in a taste test. LOL |
OMG This is Gumby Girl's FAVORITE
In Fact...we KNOW she's weird....but I've gotten her grilled cheese sandwiches at, say, Denny's (or anyplace else)...and she can't eat them because they are "too buttery and greasy." Well, who am I to argue...she's absolutely right. I still like a good ol' grilled cheese in my nonstick though.
Oh, did I tell you where she told me to make her Bungee Boy Brother a "Boy Cheese Sandwich" when she was four? He needed one, because she thought I always made her a "Girl Cheese Sandwich," not a "Grilled Cheese Sandwich!" LOL
