Albeit, not for the intended target, but the trap works nonetheless!

The trap caught an unsuspecting cowbird in the backyard.

The bird was ONLY kept long enough to take these pictures then my DS released it, completely unharmed. DS was thrilled the trap worked and is contemplating what to do next. He never did make a pitfall trap like I'd wanted, so maybe he'll do that.
