Here are some of my son's art piece from art class this past school year. (This was 9th grade.) He's not taken art classes before, just typical "art class" in public school.

Assignment was to draw from nature

Assignment was to draw the ugliest people you could find on the internet.

And yes, this is really what these guys looked like.

Assignment was for a silhouette. This is the Chicago skyline, fisherman and a frog. LOL

Assignment was for a self-portrait. And we agree that while parts of the piece are nice,

overall it really doesn't look like him.

Unsure what this assignment was to entail.

Assignment was final project: Hawaii state fish.
