We need to write more children's songs that bring out the biggest points in Biblical History. When Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, who was responsible for the walls falling down? When the horse and his rider were thrown into the sea, who was defeated by God's amazing power? When God judged the earth with a flood, why was Noah and his family saved? Look at it from this side - when you think of Only a boy named David, what were the points that stood out to you as a child? It was the sling or the tumbling down wasn't it? Would it be great if your memory was a reference to God's amazing power and provision for Israel in the obediance of his servant David? Well, you learned that in vacation bible school or Sunday school, - from your teacher. Someone start thinking of what the most important points are going to be for the children later in life and start writing! We don't have the rest of our lives to save the world, and the children of the world are receptive to God's word more then anyone.
