Memorial Weekend

We spent our weekend at Colonial Williamsburg.

We went for 2 reasons...

1) It was free to military. Our family motto "If it's free, it's for me." (Of course the free didn't extend to the cost of gas driving out there twice. LOL)

2) Mackenzie can earn a brownie page for going. Her troop is a total dud. This year they've earned one patch as a troop and done nothing. Not one trip or outing. We're moving on for next year.

This fall we're heading to Disney World, but are hoping to do the east coast loop, including Williamsburg, Independence Hall, and DC--perhaps sometime in the next couple years.

For the moment, at least, we'll pretend gas won't be a problem.

We never made it to Colonial Williamsburg when we lived out in Virginia. I'd like to come back some day and do it!
