My little camper

I dropped off my little camper yesterday and could barely get him to pay attention to me long enough to tell him goodbye!

And I managed to get out of there without embarrassing myself with a total breakdown.  In fact, I didn't even cry except when Amy and Mom asked me if I had cried!

Here's are some pictures of Camper through the years, just because I'm thinking of him:

Is he spending the nights, too? If so, you ARE a brave soul!!

It is a 2-night camp. Drop off Wednesdays, pick-up on Friday. I miss him terribly. I don't feel very brave.

There are storms in the forecast for tonight and I can just picture him laying there, so frightened. *sob*

(In reality, he's probably busily playing cards with 2 or 3 other dormies with a flashlight under the sheet.)

And, i didn't see you cry ... I'm soooo sorry.

No matter how you feel, you are brave. And thankfully, there have been no storms this evening!

the grass is always greener ...
I almost cry every summer because my kids have never gotten to go to camp.
I went almost every year to one camp or another from my 8th summer until, counseling with Neal, I was 5 months pregnant with my oldest.
Then we stopped ... and it honestly feels like something is missing every summer.
crazy.
p.s. I enjoy your travels. I like to live vicariously
