Part 1

Slowly she looked around. Where had those thugs taken her?
She thought it looked like she was in a dungeon of some sort.
But where was this dungeon located?
Mara sat down and to try and sort out the days events.
It all started when she went on her morning walk she had the usual guards surrounding her. Then suddenly arrows where flying and her guards where down.
She was snatched up by two men. The men ran with her as another man shot arrows at the chasing guards.
She new her father the king wouldn't be happy.
She decided to go to sleep. She was still pondering the men as she drifted of to sleep.............

Suddenly Mara woke up. Where was she? Sitting up she surveyed her surroundings. She was in a nice bedroom with silk sheets on the bed and silk curtains on the sides. Mara moved the curtains out of the way so she could get a better look at the room.
It was gorgeous. One of the loveliest rooms she had ever seen.
When the curtains on her bed were closed she couldn't tell how nice it was.
But now that she had moved them she stared in awe.
Mara wondered who took her. Suddenly Mara remembered that she was in a dungeon.
Who took moved me to here. Then Mara noticed that her clothes were different.
I am in a nightgown I was in a dress last night.
Mara was wondering who changed her clothes when suddenly a woman entered.
Suddenly she curtsied. "Who are you?" "Hello Miss I am Charity your Maid."
"My maid? What do you mean my maid?" "The master here told me to tend you as your personal made." "Ok sit down and explain what is going on."
"Yes Miss. The master told me you would need me to explain and told me what you need to know. Well um your guards aren't hurt. Your father knows your here.
You are to be treated as a guest. And um Where sorry about your rough treatment.
Oh and I forgot you are to stay in the castle or in the garden."
"Oh um may I know who your master is?"
"No you may not. Oh and my master is left yesterday."
"Okay um can I get dressed?" "Yes you will find dresses in that wardrobe."
"Ok well I will get dressed now." "would you like help?" "Um no thank you."
"Well ring this bell if you want me."
Mara went to the wardrobe and opened it.
It was full of lovely dresses made of the finest materiel.
Mara was not like other royalty she was taught things like how to dress herself. Mara got dressed and rang the bell. When Charity came up she immediately said."What do you need Miss?" "I need my hair done please."
"How Miss? " "Um I don't know would you make a fancy braid?"
"All right Miss" "all right I am sick of this Miss business just call me Mara."
"Oh no Miss the master wouldn't be pleased." Mara sighed.
"May I be alone?" "Yes Miss"
Charity left and Mara sat down on the window seat.
She looked out the window and saw the clouds.
She remembered a song she and her mother sang about the maker of it all.
Slowly Mara sang it to herself as she looked wistfully at the road out of the castle........................................................
