Suddenly Mara woke up. What was going on?
Then she realized that she had fallen asleep while day dreaming.
Mara pondered her situation. What could she do?
Then she had an Idea looking on top the wardrobe she found some sheets.
Quickly Mara tied them together then tying them to a post on the bed.
Looking around first Mara let down the sheet.
Slowly Mara climbed down the sheet and started to make a break for it.
She was running and was out the gate and heading towards the woods.
Then all of a sudden a young man on a horse started to follow her.
He caught up and stopped her.
"Do you know who I am?" "Yes I do ma'am but I can't let you leave."
"Why not?" Because you are under orders to stay. Besides those woods have bears in them.
Are you in the mood to die today?" "
Better than being held prisoner." "you aren't being held prisoner you.
Your our guest." Some guest if I can't even leave."
"Do you have to be so negative and hard on us?"
"Do you have to be so.......so......" "So what?" "So hard hearted."
"Hard hearted? To save you from bears?" "By not letting me leave this prison."
"Does this look so bad? Are you in a dungeon?"
"Well no. But I was last night."
"That was an error I...I mean the prince asked me to clean up." "Uh huh
right." "what ?" "Oh nothing. So are you going to show me around? Or
are you going to give me a chance to escape again?"
"Oh where have my manners gone? Right this way."
Mara looked curiously at her escort. "So do you have a name?"
"Yes." "What is it then?" "It is um Jerome."
"Jerome hmm and what is the Prince's name?"
"He is Prince Tremain." "I have heard of him...my father spoke of him as a possible suitor.
But I am not ready to be wed yet."
"Well you won't have to worry about seeing him. He is hunting. But you will see his father."
" Is his father kind? And is Tremain kind?"
"Yes Caleb is very." "And Tremain?"
"Well um I can not say. I am friends with him you should ask someone
who isnt so close."
"Hmm" "Well let me give you a tour of the caste."
Together Jerome and Mara walked off to go see the castle.
But even Mara had no Idea what would happen next.........
