Please pray for the Drews family. Their little 3 year-old boy went missing last night and they found him in their pond. Dozer went to be with Jesus. I've never met Marshie IRL, but have been blogging with her for a while and she is a very dear sweet lady. I cannot imagine what she and her family are going through right now. Please pray for them.
We got back on Tuesday and yesterday was Caleb's 6th birthday so we took him to WonderWorks.
I played Laser tag with dad and Jake (dad lost! lol) rode the X-treme360 with mom and dad. That's like really big for them. lol And I saw Jess there too. :)
We left our house at 9:00 Friday morning and got to RI 2:00 Saturday morning.
Saturday we went to visit VoVo, went to visit mom's friend Laurie (man, I love her kitchen!! it looks like it came out of a magazine :P) and then momma dropped me, Sarah, Jake and Caleb off at Nana's to spend the night with her.
SundayNana took us to the Zoo (it was Caleb's first time and he had a blast.), had a picnic lunch, then went back to Aunties (where we were staying). Then all of us, with nana, went to Chuck.E.Cheese, and then to a little beach side restaurant called Iggy's for doughboy's. Man, that's one thing TN don't have, a really nice bakery. I don't even think they MAKE doughboy's down here. Bummer.
Monday we went to the beach in the evening. It was REALLY windy. But the water was awesome. :)

We left 3:30 Tuesday morning and got back at 6:30 ish that night.
That about sums it up. lol.
I've put the pics in a slideshow cuz there's a whole lot of them. Our trip first, then WonderWorks. And at the end there's a picture of the first sewing project I've EVER done. (sad, I know) I sewed bean bags today for Caleb's birthday party tomorrow. It's for Corn Toss. :)
Guess What? I'm getting a job. It's at a restaurant run by some friends of ours. I start Labor Day Week. :)

We're over here in RI to visit my VoVo (for all you none Portugease people "VoVo" means granpa. :P) He was in the hospital for a little while and is now in a nursing home. We're gonna go visit him sometime this afternoon. If you could please pray for him that'd be great. Thank you. :)

We ended up in Gatlinburg. We did some window shopping. We had lunch just outside some fountains. Talked to the tourists. Visited the Aquarium (we have season passes) and caught up with some friends.
The most exciting news of the day is the fact that I was able to park my vehicle without having to use a parking garage. We've always been funny about paying for parking but with having taken classes to the Aquarium this past school year we had to park in the lot several times and shell out $3 - $5 each time.
Well that really isn't the only exciting news for that day for me. Only the half of it. THE most exciting news for the day is the fact that I not only found a parking space on the road but that I was able to successfully parallel park my gigantic vehicle between two cars. Trust me this is an awesome feat for this woman. Now if I had been driving our little economical Nissan, there would be no need to bring this up. But this indeed is one for the record which I will not forget for years to come.

While we walked to the Aquarium I noticed this lovely butterfly flying from flower to flower.
I immediately thought of TNLisa who has posted some pictures of some beautiful butterflies that she has seen this summer.
And one last thing. I am so proud of my daughter Sarah. She has taken such wonderful care of the new flower beds her daddy started around our flag pole. It's brought me joy to watch her fill up her buckets and pull our little red wagon to keep these alive all summer. I have to admit, I am not that good. Flowers die in my care.
I am not sure what is in store for us this school year but I do believe this promise.............

Let's see. Well, yesterday we went up to Gatlinburg and walked around, then met up with some friendsat the Aquarium. All in all it was a pretty fun day. :) And of course I have pictures. lol. All of these were actually taken by my momma. :) Except the ones with her in them. lol.

On a totally different subject.
Did anyone watch the Beijing opening ceremony of the Olympics Friday night? Wow, it was incredible! It even looked incredible on our tv that gives us "snow" flecks and "ghosts". hehe, yeah, channels don't come in too good on our tv. And we only have 3. :P Which is fine. As long as I can see the Olympics, I'm good. lol.
Anyway, if you didn't see it it was soooo awesome! Especially the part where 2,008 guys simultaneously bangnd on 2,008 drums that lite up when they were hit. THAT was cool. AND the torch lighting was awesome as well. The whole thing was. :)
