"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."
Ephesians 4:29 (NASB)

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life."
Proverbs 31:10-12 (NIV)

"She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness."

Personal "To Do" List

Well, I didn't get around to showing my daughter how to make homemade bread.    I'm adding that to my list this week.  I will probably show her how to make some blueberry muffins this week.  Actually, I'll let her make them but I will walk through each step with her.  She is also doing much better with keeping her room up.  We will continue to make that a focus this week.

Cleaning List

What I wrote last weekI am still working on my home management binder.  I am making this my own binder and not following any one certain format.  I'm gleaning from different sources for ideas.  Right now I have my morning and night-time routine in the front.  Then I have three sections right now:  one for my time alone with God, one for meal planning, and one for cleaning.

Okay, I am still working on this.  I am beginning to realize that a morning and night routine is not very practical right now between having to go to my parent's house to do laundry in the evenings, trying to get dinner before doing that laundry, and working with my hubby's work schedule.  So this week, I'm moving away from any time frames and going with generalities.  There are certain things I'd like to get done before going to bed.  So I'll work on getting those things done at whatever time I have at night - whether it's 7:00 in the evening or 10:00pm at night.  I have certain priorities for each day.  I'm working on making sure I accomplish those priorities.  It's coming along.  But I think for this season of my life, flexibility is key.

School "To-Do" List

I started back with my personal Bible memorizations this past week.  Now I need to get back to our family Bible memorizations.  My daughter is doing well with her school work.  Things are running pretty smoothly so far.

Sounds like you are off to a great start, simply by having a plan laid out.

I've thought about doing the pb&j for lunch, even if I have to eat it myself. It is much cheaper, especially when I get my bread for 50-69 cents a loaf. I wish the grocery store would have the 10/10 deal on pb again soon! I am getting low.

Hi Thanks for visiting my blog. I like to live frugally as well. I think my favorite site would be
www.hillbillyhousewife.com . This provides a great
resource for families trying to live simplier and the grocery bill becomes cheaper.

Also with my home management binder you may have noticed my list on my side bar. I couldnt do morning and night routines either. I created mine by tasks. So say mondays we do 2 loads of wash and
vacuum all the carpets. Set up by task I can do them anytime during the day as long as the task is completed. It works for me thought I'd suggest it.

~ A Little About Us ~

The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
  1. SERVICE - How to serve God and others
  2. ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
  3. LOVE - To love God and one another
  4. TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children: S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
