~ My Current Memory Verses ~

"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."
Ephesians 4:29 (NASB)

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life."
Proverbs 31:10-12 (NIV)

"She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness."
Proverbs 31:26-27 (NIV)

~ Quick Meal to the Rescue!!! ~

Well, my quick meal of Ravioli and garlic bread was a saver yesterday!  My older daughter and I ran some errands late in the afternoon.  When we got home, my hubby told me he was going in early for work.  We are so thankful for the overtime hours!  That's such an awesome thing and such a blessing!  But it meant quick meal if he was going to have supper before he left.  The Ravioli was perfect!  I got it cooked up and the bread was done just in time for my hubby to eat and then get ready for work!

We hope to have our internet set up at home sometime this week.  I look forward to doing some more blogging.  My best friend has inspired me with an idea to add to my blog.  She is so creative and does such a wonderful job with all of her blogs!  I don't think I mentioned that where we are now living is a LOT closer to my best friend!  I am so thrilled about this as it means it will be a whole lot easier for us to get together and visit.  Where we used to live, we were about 10 hours apart.  That's not an easy trip to make - especially when you have children!

We have settled into our apartment nicely and it's looking much better.  Our older daughter still has to keep working on keeping her room straight (don't most children???  LOL).  My focus right now is flexibility.  We have changes in our routine now and we need to be flexible.  We may find that we'll have a new routine before it's over simply by being flexible!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

~ A Little About Us ~

The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
  1. SERVICE - How to serve God and others
  2. ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
  3. LOVE - To love God and one another
  4. TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children: S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
