I've decided to write little tidbits of information that I'm learning in my Botany course. I've LOVED researching the uses for different herbs. My first "tidbit" will be on Garlic. Garlic is basically a type of antibiotic. It is amazing at how much this plant will heal! When taken internally, it will help your heart (prevents heart attack), helps prevent hardening of the arteries, bronchitis, possibly ulcers, and fights all sorts of infections, including virul infections that regular antibiotics can't touch! Basically, you can't go wrong by eating/taking garlic. When applied topically, (garlic oil, fresh slices of garlic) it may help bug bites, shrink warts (tape slices on for several nights in a row), control athlete's foot, swimmer's ear, and fungal infections! You can eat garlic in your food or take it in a coated capsule to reduce the odor. When treating a specific disease, take a capsule. It's more concentrated. |
