"bringing you the sort of insights smart people enjoy"
• Tag Free - Jan. 17, 2006
I'm all about having fun on the internet. I know that "Tagging" is a popular thing to do - it's fun, it's a great way to get content for your site and all that, but most of the time I find it kind of pointless. I find myself not really reading closely what people "tag" about - just filling out my list and being done with the whole thing.
For those not familiar with tagging. A blogger posts a list of things (5 random things about me or 6 places I want to visit or whatever) and then posts comments on other sites that he or she frequents to tell them they've been "tagged". People who are "tagged" then have to write the same list and "tag" others. And so on and so forth.
So this blog is now officially a "tag free" zone. I'm archiving this so it doesn't pop up and annoy my regular readers - but it's FYI for thoes thinking about tagging me.
I haven't been tagged yet, and I hoped not to be tagged. Is rather idiotic. Sorry I would rather read actual posts not lists of things.

They're also called Meme's, aren't they? I see a lot of them on blogs. I always thought of tagging as being the Technorati tags, they you put at the bottom of a post (list relevant things that were n the post). Curious.
Blogging is my only addiction. Well, blogging and new books. I was homeschooled from K-12. I have an overactive imagination, read a page a minute and type 75 wmp. I've worked with kids since I was 13 and love writing about education issues. I'm an unpaid intern with MINDspriting. I steal paperclips to make up for the lack of a check.
