I Love to read!! Has anyone ever read "The Lamb Among Stars" book series by Chris Walley?? It is a GREAT series! It is in the tradition of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and C.S. Lewis.
Anyway, the first book in the series is called "The Shadow At Evening" It is about the world after the return of Jesus and his 1,000 year reign. The Assembly of the Worlds, which is a assembly of all the worlds both Ancient Earth and Made Worlds. Now they have gone to different planets and actually make them so that people can live on them. This book is about a planet called Farholme, and it is about a guy called Merral and how his world is about to change. There has been no evil in the world for a 1,000 years. But everything is about to change. On Farholme--a Made world at the very edge of the Assembly---strange things are happening. Merral's cousin, a 14 year old girl sees an impossible creature, His Uncle and other people, including him start having nightmares, a Sentinel from Ancient Earth arrives in reponse to a troubling vision, and people begin to say, do, and think things that oppose everything that the Assembly stands for. As Merral (a Forester), Vero (the Sentinel), Anya(a biologist), and her sister Perena(a Space Captain) come to realize that their world is changing and not for the better. The impossible has now entered their minds, Evil has come back into the world and must be fought.
That is about the summary of the book without giving away the ending, in which the worst thing happens. It ends with a BANG! Literally!
Well that is all for the first book. For now unless I remember anything else that might be exciting!.
It is an on the edge of your seat book. If you are like me and start an interesting book and can't put it down, then this is the book for you!
There is also 2 more books in this series. They are: The Power of the Night, and Dark Foundations.
In reading these books and looking on the internet for things about them, I came across the author's blog. He has some really interesting and good articles not only on the books, but many other things. He can be found here: News from Farholme
I hope you enjoyed this review and I will be doing on on the second book shortly!!
As Always,
Thanks for stopping by "Daily" at the "Planet"!!
