An AWESOME Time!!

This Article was published in HSB Friends, News and FUN Stuff

Awesome people make an Awesome time... That is exactly what we had with the Suarez's!! OH!! I am sooo happy the Suarez’s finally got to come over!! We had a blast!! They are such an sweet family!!
The only problem is... Auntie S. won’t budge on SWEETNESS’ name!! She insists its Lucy... yikes!! I really don't like that name!! Lillie is the ONLY way to go... Auntie!! I will edit your note to her... JK!! She doesn't look like a Lucy, when I think of Lucy, I see a little girl with orange hair and chubby cheeks. That is not how SWEETNESS looks!! She is the tiniest thing since sliced cheese. I do not want her to be named Lucy.

Ok... so you want to story of the time we spent with them...
Well they were supposed to be here around 7pm on Monday nite. But they didn't get to leave Cinci til 7pm and they were going to be here by 10pm. They didn’t actually end up getting here til 1am. There was alot of construction and detours and they got lost. They didn’t even get to eat the wondrous dinner we had made either. Oh well...

We were really surprised by my Grandma and Aunt Dee. They came up from New Mexico... You know, the state that isn't in America. LOL!! We didn't figure they would be here til Tuesday morn, so when they got here around 11pm, we were surprised!! But it was a good surprise!!

So they got here and we got aquainted and talked. Most everyone went to bed around 1:30am, except Paulie, Luke, Levi, Joc, Mom, Grandma and I went to bed around 2:30am. We were telling funny stories about injuries, and losing things. It was so fun!! Then we took awhile deciding when to get up, and we decided 7:30am. So we all went to bed.
I got up around 7am b/c Mrs. Suarez had come down, Dad was leaving and the dog had started barking. So I had to go help. I tripped over Caleb in the process and so I had to get him back to sleep. Then I went back to bed... I had another half hour to sleep!! But apparently Auntie had gone upstairs and told the guys that everyone was up!! So Levi and Paulie came down. Paulie got in the shower and we talked with Levi.
Then Luke woke up, and was wondering why no one had woke him up. We all got ready to go to the barn then. Levi milked the goats, I cleaned the stalls while talking to Paulie and then Julia. Then I was moving Estrella to her stall and left Dulcy's open... and Dulcy got out. So I had to put her back in her stall, and then I noticed that Estrella was gone... I had left the back stall door open. So after I wrangled the horses, we talked even more!!
We started to go the house and realized that we needed to unloaded their trailer of magazine racks. Luke had already gone to the house to get the chess game ready for him and Joc to play the "BIG GAME". So we unloaded the racks, talked more, then came in.
I helped with breakfast and got everyone coffee. Auntie S. couldn't believe how good our coffee was. We were like, its just regular coffee. LOL!!
You will have to ask Luke and Joc what the result of the game was as I am not at liberty to tell!! We talked more... Paulie played Joc at chess... not telling about that either. Then Luke made me play him. Now this has to be a world record b/c he beat me in like 10min. I am a sorry chess player!! Actually I wasn't really trying b/c they were leaving in like 15min. so we had to make it fast.
We got some pics of Paulie and Luke with SWEETNESS. Then they had to go. boohoo!! We did get some pics of all of us kids, so that was neat!! They are on Paulie’s camera though, and are downloading as I post this!!
But all in all, I am so happy to see them all again!! Auntie was in love with SWEETNESS!! She had her most of the time. LOL!! And when she didn't, she was always close by waiting to get her!!
The even more Awesome news is that they have to come back in a week or two to get their racks they are storing here!! That will be TERRIFIC!! I can’t wait!!
So we had a great time with them... they are truly SPECTACULAR!!
Now we get to spend a few days with Grandma and Aunt Dee and they are going to help me with training Estrella and Dulcy.

Love...

Sounds like you had a great time. I agree with you about the name Lucy ~ naaah! But Lilly, I love that name. Reminds me of Easter and Spring and since that's the time of year she was born, it certainly fits.

Sounds like a very fun visit-- I am jealous!

Don't feel too bad about the chess. I am actually a decent player. But I must admit that I was once beaten by my little brother in chess...in only 4 moves. Yup, FOUR. Shameful, isn't it? So now I mostly play Chinese Checkers and mostly win...for now. The more I play, the less likely I'll win again. Darn those kids and their spongey, ever-thinking brains... ;-)

Hope you have a great rest of the week! Don't forget to close the door!

Oh wow, I guess you did have fun. :-D I like the name Lucy! When I was little my grandmother always said she hoped one of her grandchildren named a daughter Lucy Susan. Well, recently one of my cousins did name their daughter Lucia, and she's cute! You can see for yourself at http://www.chicagospencers.blogspot.com/
She was even born on St. Lucia's Day.

But anyway, Lillie is a pretty name too!

You can pm or email them to me. I don't care. I just want them! LOL!

Sounds like you had a blast with the Suarez family! They sound so nice!

I think of a chubby girl with pigtails when I think of the name Lucy too. And I really like the name Lillie, that's where my vote goes! If it matters at all.

Hmmm, you saying you don't like my Lucy? Lucy Raspberry to you!

But seriously, she's a little beauty, yup, she's a Dixon girl alright. And let me say RIGHT HERE that the Suarez boys beat the potatoes out of the Dixon girls when it came to chess. What can I say...I'm raising geniuses. LOL. Well, chess geniuses anyway. Although, Paulie is my computer genius...and Julia is the best back scratcher in the world, and that just takes pure genius.

See ya in a couple weeks - get that coffee good and strong!

I am blessed to be able to do that, I really thank God for that ability.

I didn’t really post that because I couldn’t come over, I really didn’t have time to be mad over it. It was just something I was thinking over the whole convention trip, trying to think of my siblings before myself and stuff like that.

I don't think it's Suarez, I talked to Paulie until 1:25 Am today. =D

Don't totally train the horses, I want to help!

I REALLY like hitting the nail on the head, so I've been trying to find Bible verses to go with my stuff lately. I also just started the site, strongchristianopinions.com which I hope you and Joc will be a part of. Basically what it's going to be is a place where we post about our opinions on things, and defend what we think is right. I sent more on that in an e-mail.

Here is the new link to my banner, it changed now.

Don't you dare name the baby lilly! I HATE that name! And Lilly Dixon doesn’t sound good! The reason why I don't like that name is because I one knew a girl named Lilly, and she was really naughty! So every time I hear that name it reminds me of her! Now if you want to name her Lucy that’s fine with me, you can tell her when she grows up that she was named after the girl in Narnia!

Eric

P.S. I'm not mad at you. =D

Aw, both of those names are really cute!! I like Lily (sp) better, but Lucy is pretty, too. One of my favorite girl's names is Lilia.

Glad to hear you had a good time!! As for the chess...well, yeah. I'm decent at it, but there are a lot of people better than me. I actually have a chess tournament today which I'm looking forward to!!

I'm glad you had such a nice time! :)
Yep, it's really sad about what happened at Tech. I'm glad I'm homeschooled too. I guess with colleges that's a different story though. I pray if I go to college I'll be safe. The public schools are getting so violent. Its bad when I went to soccer practice on the fields of a public school and they had bail bonds signs on the school property. YIKES! This guy was sooo disturbed. My cousin's friend was in a class with him and said he read some of his writings aloud. Said he was very creepy.
Anyway...enough of that....

Thank you for your comment, you are so sweet!

It sounds like you had a wonderful visit! I am glad they were able to come however short a time it may have been.

I think maybe Marie, Maria or Mariah fits your little sister. She is very beautiful. Maybe Louisa... I would suggest Rebekah, but you already have a Rachel! I also like Jessie and Eleanor and Marianne.;) Whatever she is named I am sure it will fit her.

Yup! I got my permit on the tenth!! I'm soo glad! I love to drive... in light traffic, that is, lol.
Yup! Mom had a baby girl back in January! So now we outnumber your family by one, lol.

Wow, sounds like a lot of fun! Loved the pics on Paul's blog. I hope they get to visit again. And let me tell you, my younger brothers can beat me in chess...it's embarassing. :) My sis Julia was a pretty good chess player when she was younger!
Okay okay, if you really don't like Lucy, Lily's cute. :) We were actually considering that name when my mom was pregnant with the last baby, Melody. But I'm glad we picked Melody, she's so like that! (If you want to see pics of her, you can visit homeschoolblogger.com/pictureperfect, my photo blog.)

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
