It's July... Can you believe it??

This Article was published in Homeschooling Articles

Did you all notice it was the JULY already?? That means over half the year is over!! Man, where has time gone??
Its July... what have you accomplished off your list of things you wanted done this year?? Did you get half of them done??
I was going over my list and seeing what I had done or not done. I have done alot on my list, but many things are still not done. I know I can complete them, I just need to do it.
God ordained our ways and what we are to do. When we follow His guidance and will, we tend to get things done because we are on a path.
Having a schedule can really help you get what you want accomplished. We have a schedule but rarely follow it, which doesn't help us accomplish what we want to during the day. So we go to bed, discouraged because we didn't do everything we wanted to. But we wake up the next morning, refreshed and ready to hit it.
I like having a schedule. Especially with school. Having a schedule helps me know what I have to do when, and then I can accomplish it sooner.
I am looking forward to this next school year. It will be my last one. Mom just told me that my senior year will be composed mostly of writing essays, which will be really easy, cause that is what my blog is. A big essay. Fun!!
I will also finish algebra this year. I am not taking advance math, calculus, etc. My Mom took all those and can't remember a single thing from them, so why do I need to waste my time learning them?? I am going to stay home and teach my children.
I am going to be doing more American history. I have done alot of world history but not very much American and especially from like late 1800's-present. I don't really know alot about that time.
I am going to be finishing my biology. This is another subject that I am not taking alot of. I am not taking chemistry or advanced science. Not really interested in it.
And of course, I will be reading ALOT!! I will probably be reading more of homeschool teaching books, rather than fiction and such.

Other than those subjects, it will be just homemaking things. Sewing, cooking, baking, caring for the horses, taking care of the house here, just everyday things. And looking forward to getting things and myself ready for life ahead.

I really can't believe it is July already. I pray that you have accomplished most of or all that was on your 2007 to do list. I am striving to finishing mine. If you go to my right side bar right under my cbox you will find my 2007 to do list.
Some of the things I have done are: Continuing The Daily Planet as an encouragement to all, Losing weight, (I have gone down 5 skirt sizes this year. WOW!!), Having another garden (not really looking forward too), getting my license, getting horses, going to TN for Coie's bash, having Lucy, Family members birthdays, having friends come visit us.
This has been a really good year. I am thankful that I have become who I am supposed to be in this time in my life. God is watching me and caring for me everyday. I have more things to accomplish and I add to my list daily, but this year can only get better. I hope!!
Thank you all for encouraging me this past year. You are all dear to me!!
 As Always...

Great post! I recently listened to an online conference series about being a writer, and one thing I am doing because of it is making a goals journal. It's not only for my writing goals, but other goals and to-do lists and schedules and things. I think we tend to get a lot more accomplished when we write things out!

It sounds like you're going to have a good school year next year! Does it feel weird to be almost done? It did for me. :-)

Love,
Mandy

I guess this computer won't let me sign in. Oh well. You know who I am. It is so true about schedules. They do make us much more productive, and when I don't go by one, I'm just like you - I go to bed frustrated with myself.

Thanks for the message about getting my children's hearts.

....for that inspiring post.
Okay, I'll make my confession. *deep breath* I have accomplished one thing on my 2007 to-do list. There, I said it. Kinda sad, huh? I was just thinking about that the other day, so it's funny that you would blog about it.
Of course, my plans have changed some since I made my list. College has come into the picture, as well as all the preparation that involves. Plus there were one or two things on the list that I decided were not quite so important to be done *this year*.
Still... I need to focus and work on accomplishing those things that God wants me to accomplish in the remainder of this year. Thank you for that reminder!
I hope you're having a wonderful week. :-)
Love, Ashley
PS: You said you are thankful that you have become who God wants you to be right now. That's so true.... no matter what's going on with our schedules or plans, God is constantly molding our character, making us the women He wants us to be.
God bless!

Hey Amanda!

Yeah, I always know want I want to get done in my head, but it seems when I write it down and have some sort of schedule it helps getting them done! I've never written my goals for the year down on paper, but I think that's a great idea and something I need to do!

Thanks for that post! I was very good and helpful...as usual!

Sparkles ; )

P.S. I know, I know! I seriously need to do a new post! Hopefully in the next day or two! I'm helping with my church VBS this week, so it's kind of been a little busy.

Hi Amanda!

Thank you for your prayers! Mama's doing better. :-)

Five skirt sizes!! That's great!! I've lost a pretty fair amount of weight in the last month..... I now fit pefectly into clothes that were too small, and I feel better. :-)

Blessings & Love,
Becca

I know, it's hard to believe that it's July already!!

I wouldn't say that calculus or advanced chemistry would be a waste of time. Even if you don't remember a single thing that you learned in those classes when you're older, they do stretch your mind and force you to think critically. Those are skills that everyone needs in any life that they choose to live. That's just a little different perspective on it. :-)

I agree with you about the schedule!! They help keep things so much more organized...

Regards and God bless,
Sylvia

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
