I have finished my SUPERMAN bag!

Ok so here is what I did-

I have this material:

The SUPERMAN logo and SUPERMAN flying I used for the outside sides.

Then I had SUPERMAN & Earth for the inside of the sides.

I took the logo and the SUPERMAN & Earth and sewed some batting in between them, so I had a panel for the side.

I did the same thing with the flying.

Then I took and quilted the logo and some of SUPERMAN flying’s body and the outline of the square. I did this so that there wouldn’t be any space between the two. And it gave it an 3d kinda thing.

I took the edge where I had already sewn the panel together and I sewed another seam as to make it stronger and have a finished edge.

Then I took the SUPERMAN & Earth and made a panel with the batting for the bottom. And sewed that to the panels.

I took some more of the SUPERMAN & Earth and went up the sides to connect the panels also. I did not put batting in this part. It is just fabric.

Now with all the pieces you will see that I did another stitch line for finishing and strength.

I couldn’t get a good pic of the seam.

Ok now for the handles. I took the SUPERMAN & Earth and made them as long as I wanted and I put batting in it and sewed it together.

Then I took this red handle stuff, (no idea what the name of it is) and sewed it on the S & E material. I did 3 separate stitched along it. 1 in the middle and 2 on the side.

Then I had this blue and yellow rickrack and sewed them on to the S & E and Red handle. I had to go on it, so that the ends would come up. So I had to go in a zigzag. I did not use the zigzag stitch, I did it by turning it zigzag.

Then I ripped up the stitch, so that I could put the handles in. Put them in the depth of how I wanted it and sewed it back up.

Now the final thing that we did was put the zipper on. We took some more of the S & E material and sewed our zipper to it.

Then we sewed it to the bag.

So there is my SUPERMAN bag step by step.

And here is the final work

I think I covered everything. If you have any questions about that I didn’t explain let me know!

It only took me 5 days to get it finished. MOM did help me figure out the best way to do somethings and she did the zipper mostly.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO GO SEE SUPERMAN RETURNS again!!!! It was soo GOOD……..I want to see it again and again.

We will be going next weekend! It will be in our theater. WOOHOO!!!!

Does anyone know when it comes out on dvd? And do you know if they have the old ones in a dvd set? I need to get them! Hmmm…..where can I look?

Isn't my music just AWESOME!

My Homemade Skirt Pics and Details!
Published on June 17, 2006 at 1:10 PM

Hey everyone!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........................Here is the pics of my homemade skirt! ( I don't know why there is a white spot at the top. It must be the pic)(No before pic. Sorry)

This was actually a dress with spaghetti straps so what we did was we took those off and took the part that was the chest area and folded that down and made a waist band with it. This was connected to the straps.

Here is the waist band:

Then I sewed the buttons together and made like a box around them, so that they won't come undone. I went all the way to the bottom of the skirt.

Here is the buttons:

I bought this flower and ribbon, but the flower broke off of the clip on the ribbon. So I just doubled up the ribbon and sewed that on there. And as you can see I made a litte thingiemabob behind where I put the flower with the ribbon. Then I had to hand sew the flower on to it.

Here is the ribboned flower:

The last thing I am going to do is I will be putting a zipper on it. I didn't sew the first 2 buttons so that I could take them off and put the zipper there. I have to go to Wal Mart to get it. So I don't have pics of the zipper.

The only problem we are experiencing with making this to a skirt is that is was a dress before, so the part that was where my middle section was is now where my thighs are. It is really tight there because of that reason. So either I am going to have to lose my thighs or we are going to have to add some material there. I am leaning more towards the losing my thighs idear. (as the English would say).

So there you be. My skirt. Myrtle has a blue and purple on just like this that she is working on.

We have at least 2 or 3 more that we are going to be making. And I am also making a SUPERMAN bag. At Wal Mart they had a lot of SUPERMAN stuff, party supplies, SHIRTS, and some fabric. It was really expense, but I had to have it. It was $3.97 a yard, I think. There was 2 different fabrics, so I got both and will be making myself a really awesome bag shortly. And yes, I will be posting pics to all you fav blogger friends of mine.

If you have any questions about this that I didn't cover just comment and I will try to explain it to you!

It is so CUTESIE!

Luv

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
