Youth group, Stephen, Willy Wonka.
Posted By
Jacqueline
(I now have a rule on post greetings, so I shall just zip into my post, with not form of acknowledgement ( I hate spelling acknowledgement. It always looks wrong. Nope. It's spelled right. I checked a internet dictionary.) of
your being. Ha ha ha. Deal with it.)
Okay, lot's to do today, lot's to do today.
I went to Church, and got to go to the pulpit and recite a lesson- In front of the entire bloody congregation!
I wasn't the only youth-speaker, thankfully.
There was a kid (I think he's twelve... .) who also recited a lesson.
I was so nervous, but I got over it.
I'm went to see a musical , today.
The musical, you ask? Willy Wonka!
A friend of mine is in it, you know her as SNLsweetness.
I don't know if I got her name right... .
Check my friends list to see her blog.
It was really good, I liked it a lot.
Mrs. Gloop was played by a boy, and he hugged me, like, 5 times.
I didn't even know him that well... .
And tonight my youth-group went to Target (Screeeeeeech! Bad screech, not good screech.) to get
toys for underprivileged children, who actually turned out to be four people over fifty
who couldn't afford coats. So, we bought them coats.
It was fun, but last year (and this year!) the boys in my youth group went insane.
They were supposed to get a teenager some pants, shoes, and a shirt,
and all they got the poor boy was pants and a Twenty Questions game,
and then they played Nintendo in the back.
As for this year, we went to a restaurant to eat, and they order in weird voices.
Also, they drained the hot sauce all over their fruit, argued over if I was a blonde (I'm not. Who would of thunk it?) and one of them introduced himself to our server as "Quincy".
For the sake of random, there's a picture of my fake-boyfriend-centaur, Stephen in my photo album.
(Pronounced Stef-in. Not Steven. Why you ask? Because I'm cool (Weird) that way).
I drew a picture of him at the restaurant (Because there was crayons at the table),
and one of the boys thought I actually had a boyfriend, and I was drawing a picture of him.
So, I showed him the picture, and for at least a minute, his face was priceless.
Okat...Ha ha ha, I mean, Okay.
Gosh, I'm too tired to be posting... (Quick tip, never EVER try and write a 600 word essay at midnight.
I've pulled tons of all-nighters (All without caffine, I might add.), and my essays usually are crazy.
Well, I need to get some sleep.
I have pratice, and a DI (See last post) meeting.
Oh, and guess what's over?!
My college courses, that's what!!
So... very... happy.
~Outloud.
Oh, and comment.
Or a small monkey may or may not eat your cell phone.
Don't have a cell phone?
The monkey will buy you one, and then eat it.
Gosh, I really thought posting late was a good idea.
Ha ha... Wrong.
I'll stop being weird now. |

I finally had the courage to look at Brown's tooth! (you can read about it in the last post) He got the bracket (they call it a button) on last Wed. It's kinda strange, you can barely see the tooth, and the button was really small.
IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!!!!!! Brrr There is a little snow. I think it was 24F, but it feels a lot colder. Murphy's inside. :) She likes it in here.
We're going on a cave trip tomorrow (Sat) for the scouts. There 37 people going! But 7 of them are Cub Scouts. We're supposed to meet at 1:30pm tomorrow, and I still haven't packed anything! But, I guess I still have a little time to pack. It's 8:40pm. (but I go to sleep at 12:00!)
Need to go pack now!

Wicked, Indiana Jones, Statues.
Posted By
Jacqueline
Hello... Hi... Yeah, I hate greetings in entries.
I'm not very good at coming up with new ones every time.
Unless I can be spontaneously crazy with my greetings.
Yeah, I'll try that:
Whoopeeeeeeeee.....Jelly beans.
Darn, it didn't work. I just sounded sarcastic there.
Alright, any way, I have had a very busy day.
You won't believe (Well, yeah you probably will) where I was this morning.
Chicago.
My sister is trying to get into a college there, so I came along for the ride.
We saw Wicked!!!!!!!
It rocked so very hard.
There was a giant dragon thing over the stage that moved, and steamed, and had glowing, red eyes.
I got some green sunglasses at a kiosk during intermission (If anyone can tell me the
song their from, I will bestow them with... my saying how very cool they are. Oh, yes. That's in
demand these days. Get one while supplies last).
Not only that, but after the show, there was a dude walking around outside in a monkey mask.
Yeah... .
Today (Being our last day) we went to the Museum of Science and Industry.
Twenty billion school kids there.
And yes, they seemed afraid of me.
I don't know why.
People usually just stare at me because I wear fedoras... but I wasn't wearing a fedora... .
There is a conspiracy here, I just know it.
Anyway, we went to the Christmas Tree display,
and into a real U-boat (U-505, for you history nerds, I mean, History peoples).
I post those pictures later.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I almost forgot, we also went to the Oriental Institute, which was AWESOME!!
There was these giant statues, and I have pictures of them! (Yea... .)

That girl isn't me, I found this picture, as well as the other one online, because you can't take pictures
in there, I think.

I would tell you more information on these, but I couldn't find any, sorry.
I can tell you, however, that most of the artifacts found in the museum were
found by Robert Braidwood, said to be the model of the Indiana Jones movies.
So, how awesome is that?!
Here's the wiki article if you want to read about him: Click here! It's interesting.
Well, thanks for reading.
I would have made it longer, but I'm hungry, and I kind of want to watch Indiana Jones, now.
"Comment. It's easy!" Said the commercialized man sitting by a computer.

My Mom made me write A, when really, I would have said B.

Justifying an Evaluation
I love to write, so I decided to take a college course in English. So, my older
sister and I took a placement test, and they placed me in English 110. A
sophomore level class. So, my very first college course, was for sophomores.
I really freaked out when I finally realized that, because I am only fourteen, and
I doubted I would actually last the full semester without failing out of the class.
However, I didn’t fail. I learned a lot of information, which I can and will use in
later classes. I have grasped most of the semantics of essay writing, though I
still need to work out most of the problems I have with formatting, which I could
blame on my computer (and it’s never ending war with me on fonts), but really
I need to remember to use the right font and remember to double space.
Paper #1 for me was just a wakeup call. To tell you the truth, I wrote it when I
first got the assignment sheet, and brought it in the next class. Only to have the
teacher discuss how we should mold it, and what the basic requirements of it.
Of course, I freaked out. I brought the paper in the next week, when it was
actually due, and I had gotten almost everything wrong. Of course I redid
everything on it, and got a decent grade, so everything turned out alright,
thankfully. On that paper I learned quite a lot about formatting and paragraphing.
The next paper was quite the opposite, in terms of schedule, I turned it
in late, because I was a way all week and forgot to bring the assignment sheet
for Paper #2. Paper #2 was the paper where we were introduced to work citation,
one of the most confusing things you could possibly try to think of, or explain.
I understood it, (Eventually) and learned from the many mistakes I had made
on that paper.
(Kunka and Barbato) "MLA Formatting and Style Guide". The OWL at
Purdue. Wednesday December 3rd.
.
Writers who properly use MLA also build their credibility by demonstrating
accountability to their source material. Most importantly, the use of MLA style can
protect writers from accusations of plagiarism, which is the purposeful or
accidental uncredited use of source material by other writers.
Paper #3 was one of the most fun for me, because I loved
researching my subject and writing about it. I learned even more about work
citation and dead languages (My essay topic) as a bonus .
****(Bleeping out my last name!), Jacqueline. "a Death of a Language". Essay No. 3.
October 27th: Last Page.
Each of these languages has their own story, a tale of there
demise and maybe a flicker of hope of coming back to be spoken and
heard again.
My last few papers have taught me the most of all my essays, the art of
writing persuasively. I learned about swaying readers’ views, and some other
valued basics of writing. I continued to correct and learn through my mistakes,
and really had a lot of fun with this class.
For an over all grade, I would give myself an A, because I have always
wanted to be a writer, and have worked quite a lot in English and other
writing classes, and consider myself a good writer, because I have good
grammar, I have good skills in describing things, and swaying readers, and I
work very hard on my essays. I have learned from this class, and use the
knowledge in my papers, and learned things about myself along the way.
I have defiantly learned from my mistakes in this class, as well.
“Instructor Comments” (Guide to Writing Paper).
Could the use of “You” under you mean the reader?
Before this class, I thought I knew almost all the things you could know about
English, but really, I was wrong, and I still have more to learn. |

Under aged drinking essay. This is a heavy topic, so please don't be angry with me.
Posted By
Jacqueline
Underage Drinking
Audience: Parents
Underage drinking really is self explanatory; The drinking of an alcoholic beverage before
the designated age, making it illegal. The negative effect of this is also rather manifest,
including thousands of deaths in teenagers. Intoxicated teenagers cause fatal car crashes
for both parties of the crash. Not only that, but some tests show that minors heavily drinking
can cause negative effects on the actual physical development of brain structure.
"Why Do Adolescents Drink?" Alcohol Alert. January 2006, November 18th
.
Each year, approximately 5,000 young people under the age of 21 die as a result of underage
drinking; this includes about 1,900 deaths from motor vehicle crashes, 1,600 as a result of
homicides, 300 from suicide, as well as hundreds from other injuries such as falls, burns, and
drowning.
Underage drinking is a problem, so how does it start? Peer Pressure has a lot to do with
It. Peer pressure is the influence of a social group on an individual, and many kids give in to
such pressure. Peers are usually a group of kids who are the same age, and virtually all
adolescents in middle and high school deal with peer pressure, often on a daily basis.
Many people have tried to stop Underage drinking, with fun-raisers, pamphlets,
billboards and slogans like “Serve Kids, Serve Time.” from organizations such as ALOUD
(Alliance On Underage Drinking) or Stop Underage Drinking. But after a while, these slogans
and billboards and clash of parents, teachers and volunteers with the same message become
normal, and therefore ignorable. So, what could a person do? I suggest that instead of
trying to stop the problem, we go for the source. To stop peer pressure, though, is no small
feat. A strong relationship with their parents, a strong relationship with a family member,
any person that they trust and look up to, a person they could talk to about such matters,
is a great start. Because most of the kids, even with all the slogans and volunteers, have
no clue what they’re doing, or have any information.
Usually, when a child, preteen, or teenager asks a question about drugs, alcohol,
any of those touchy subjects, a parent will usually dismiss it with a “Don’t do it.”.
Then, the child will get the answers they’re looking for on the TV or internet, which
usually shed positive light on such illegal activities. Not only that, but alcoholic
beverage commercials usually try to link good times with alcohol, thus confusing the
child even more.
"Children, Alcohol and Parenting". Alcohol: Problems and Solutions. November 20th
.
Underage drinking is common and seen as a major problem by many people in the
United States. Legislation has been passed in a futile effort to prevent those under the age
of 21 from purchasing or consuming alcohol.
School alcohol education programs generally try to convince students to abstain both now
and as adults by using scare tactics: teaching that alcohol is a poison, by equating it with
illegal drugs, and by promoting the "gateway theory" that alcohol leads to ********* which
leads to ******** and other hard drugs.
I bleeped out some words, because I don't want to put them on my blog,
And please remember this is just a blog I use to keep my essays in order.
My main blog is: Outloudfun. Click here to view.

I have lot's to write about, so this is going to be a long entry. Just a warning.
Posted By
Jacqueline
Salutations those whom read my posts.
Who? Whom? Whom.
Well, sorry I haven't posted in forevers.
This will be a super long, SUPER POST!! (Yeah... I know it's lame.)
I have finals. (Screech!!!!!!)
Yeah, and I can't cram, because my sister lost our English book.
So, yeah. I'm pretty much... dead in the form of tests.
In Beauty and the Beast news, I learned the Mug Dance!!
It's so cool, and fast, and hard.
For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about,
a mug dance is where dancers (Such as myself) have metal mugs
and clink them together harmoniously with the music, crossing and uncrossing our arms,
and clinking mugs with our co-dancers.
AND...IT"S SO AWESOME!!
Not only that, but I learned the dance for Gaston (My what a guy, you get the picture).
I'm going to tell you the truth, it's freaky weird being a silly girl.
Not only because I'm not a peppy person.
And the fact I have trouble being... a silly...girl (This includes giggling, and gossiping and giggling some more).
But mostly because I'm good friends (I stress friends) with Gaston.
He has Aspergers syndrome, and is the only person I can gush about Nancy Drew PC games with.
(Yeah, I have an addiction to Nancy Drew games... I can stop at any time, though. I swear.)
In Twelfth Night news,
There is no news!
We have a winter break until January!
Sweet!!!
In news I haven't told you about yet news:
I'm in yet another extra curricular program!
It's called DI. Click here to learn more! Link alert!
You compete with other kids, and be creative, make friends, and other camp-feel-good stuff like that.
We chose the Music Video challenge, and I can't tell you anymore, because this is a
really, really secretive thing.
I'll tell you after it, though.
OH OH OH!!! Wait! I forgot to tell you how the Murder Mystery went!!!
I was the murderer!!
It was really cool.
We had evidence, and other stuff like that.
The only minus, was that my character (Cindy Sensational)
had a boyfriend, and I knew the boy playing him very...very (Too much) well.
He's in Beauty and The Beast with me, and... Yeah that's all I really want to say about that.
Except that I said something rather cold-hearted to him (Because he was being mean, and very inappropriate).
And he just went up to the microphone on our stage (Our church has a stage),
and he yelled into it "Cindy, it's over!!!!".
I said (Maybe a little bit to loudly) "YES!!!!!".
And every one who wasn't already onlooking on our spat, started looking on.
After in hour, he apologized, though.
And sadly, our characters had to get back together for the plot to make sense.
Good thing, though, he didn't ask me to dance.
He danced with another guy, though, to be funny.
It was funny.
I'll out some pictures up later, because it was so awesome!
Also, I totally pranked a friend of mine last night.
He just got a cell phone for his birthday, and he didn't know my number,
so I started texting him.
His name is John, I'm (Of course) Jacqueline, and Bibi is my sister on her phone.
(We just call her that,I don't know why.)
Jacqueline: bill wat time is the exchange?
John: I think you have the wrong number.
Jacqueline: don't toy with me bill.
Bibi: bill, steve's acting weird. Did u remember to tell him the times?
John: Okay, I'm done.
Bibi: What are you talking about?
John: I don't know you.
Bibi: Stop messing around . Where are u?
John: No where. :)
Bibi: Steve's really upset. He's talking about taking your postion away. Why are you playing around?
John: Because I'm tired of him!
Bibi: We already talked about this, after the exchange, we're going to have Jimmy take care of Steve for you.
John: I thought you cancled that plan.
Bibi: Why would I do that?
John: I thought Steve was on to us.
Bibi: Who told you that?
John: Did you see the look he gave us when we were talking?
Bibi: Who?
John: Never mind dawgggggggg.
Bibi:Who is this?
John Who is this?
Bibi: None of your business. Who are you?
John: Well, you started texting me.
Jacqueline: uh bill, I need to know the time. Many people will be disapointed if I don't show.
John: Who is this?
John: Let them be disapointed. :)
Jacqueline: Bill, u missed the exchange of goods. we needed u there. if the police weren't invovled, I will be very upset.
John: Stop talking to me.
Jacqueline: Sorry, wrong number. it would be very nice of u if u forgot every thing I've said.
John: Mmmk. I'll get right on that.
John: I'm calling the cops.
End of message.
I had to text badly because he would have known it was us if we didn't.
I use all grammar knowledge I have when texting, so it usually takes me forever to send a message.
Well, thanks for reading!
And thanks to all those who helped (And commented!) me get 200 comments!
YEA!!! Happy face!
Comment so more!
I comments.

Jacob and I wanted to make a blog JUST for trapping and things like that. So we came up with... The Trapping Blog! We'll both be blogging there, so you can see both our sides of the story. Jacob also got a Wordpress blog. You can visit his new blog HERE. And I decided I didn't really like the blog address sheftu.wordpress.com, so I changed it over to jennabettendorf.wordpress.com. I think I might really be moving now. Actually, I'd really, really move if I could figure out how to get my playlist over there. (Yeah, I like my music. )
Anyway, be sure to visit us over there!

Brown has a hole in his mouth!!!
He has a tooth that was growing in crooked. So he got braces to help it. And if it didn't work, he would have to have surgery. So, the braces helped a little bit. But our dentist (he is also our orthodontist, and he is our buddy that we've known for a long time) did a little bit of surgery on Brown. He could see the bulge in Brown's mouth, so he said he would make sure it was in the right place, so he cut it open, (this is making me woozy just typing it) and he said that since he already had a hole in it, and it was already numb, he could make it bigger so he could put a bracket on it. So next week we're going back to put the bracket on it. I never did look at it, but I guess you can see the tooth. But I don't think I'll look at it for a while!
We had about 4 inches of snow the day before yesterday. So we went out and brought our sleighs. We were going to go out to our neighbor's house, to bring her mail, so we thought that we could go sleigh riding when we got to hills. But it didn't work too well. Then when we almost got her house, we went to her next door neighbors and went down their hill a couple times, while Mommy went to her house. So we did have some fun! The lake froze yesterday! So I guess that means that it's getting colder out! Well, it's raining now, I think it's 41 F. Hmm... does that mean that it's getting warmer?

Did everyone have a happy Thanksgiving? I did! We went to Mamaw and Papaw's house for lunch. Then we went to my uncle's house for supper. But one of Mommy's sisters couldn't make it! She and her husband were sick! :(
Christmas is coming soon, too!! I guess I should make a template for Christmas!!! I guess when I'm done with this, I'll start on it! But Mommy's other sister will be gone for Christmas! I think she's going to Florida to see their family. But we might get together for New Year's.
