This is what a student said to her mother about what she's been learning in health class, in small town DeRuyter, in central New York. You can read about it in this article:

Excerpts
"They taught my son how to kill himself, how to slit his wrists," Fellows said.
Parents also say students were shown a violent R-rated movie, made to take an oath of silence, participate in a mock rape trail, told graphic masturbation stories and asked to reveal their own sexual histories and desires.
Cathy Sinesi says her daughter feels traumatized.
"She said to me, I feel like my mind has been raped," Sinesi said.
Easy, right? Get rid of the teacher! Not so easy. Teacher unions, and brainwashed parents. I'm amazed that there's a controversy over this. That is the scariest part, to me.
"There's some issues some people feel strongly should not be in the curriculum, some people do. So we need to figure out a way to work with the community," said Bruce Sharp, Superintendent of DeRuyter Central Schools.
And some parents agree and say its all being blown out of proportion.
"It's like religion. If you touch that subject, your going to get some people upset, because we all have our own beliefs on how things are to be taught," said Yvette Newton.
While others say the administration hasn't been following state guidelines for years.
Hello? Taught how to slit his wrists? Tell the class your sexual history and desires?
"We all have our own beliefs on how things are to be taught."
Precisely! So teach your own health class at home! You know, parents, bring them home. Parents in DeRuyter, bring them HOME!! Bring them home! You can do a better job in all subjects -- your high schoolers can avoid the agenda that is being played out with our young people. Get them out of there. No young mind should be raped such as is happening in DeRuyter and elsewhere. No teen should learn how to slit their wrists properly.
Seriously, this breaks my heart. It saddens me to the core.
