Have you seen this woman? She may have information about the crime scene at a recent homeschool conference. Good Grief! |

I couldn't resist trying this one. Type "(Your name) needs" into Google and see what you get. Ignoring the less savory results ... Maureen needs a date. (well my husband IS out of town for 2+ weeks!) Maureen needs a little help. (I won't deny that one.) Maureen needs therapy. (Well, I don't think it's THAT bad yet.) Maureen needs to hang out with a different crowd. (My friends may take offense to this.) Maureen needs to wake up and smell the coffee. (Often TRUE!) Maureen needs to get out more. (I'll never deny THAT.) HT to The Bookworm. |

Literary Compass has tagged me for his original Title Blending Meme: Instructions: Blend two book titles together by using the last word of one title and the first word of the second title. If you want, you can blend the authors' names too. Looking on my bookshelf: The Lion, the Witch and the Black Box by Michael Behe Chesterton The Seven Habits of The Trivium by Sister Miriam Covey The Fellowship of Mr Bowditch by Latham Tolkien Around the World in 20,000 Leagues by Jules Verne The Last of the Green Gables by Erich Montgomery To Kill A Man For All Seasons by Harper Bolt Tagging friends I know who love books: Becky, Lissa, Jessica, Willa, Cay, Maureen W. and all fellow bibliophiles!

I went to school with my husband for 12 years, but never dated him until our 10 year high school reunion. We returned to our 20 year reunion, married with 4 kids. 5. I played the violin as a child for 8 years. I'd still love to learn to play the bagpipes. 6. I'm a homeschool mom who secretly hates crafts and craft-related messes. Archimedes just shared some shocking news....my moderately aggressive college savings plan is still woefully lacking. Maybe Archimedes has better news for you? |

A democratic school is the newest alternative to traditional school. The press release reads: “Students follow their own inspiration, design their own curriculum; the staff helps them follow their own path.” Individual attention is stressed and because it is “learner-led,” all learning styles are honored. The theory is that since curiosity drives learning, learning comes much faster and, because staff members aren’t enforcing a curriculum, students are more receptive to it. HHmmmm....sounds like they've been reading some homeschooling books to me! |
