Sep. 30, 2008 - My Weekend

My weekend went a little rough. I missed my son's Saturday game to take my mother to the eye doctor. That was a blow up. My son's team won, but I lost with my mother. It is long story. So, I won't bore you with the details.
Then, Sunday's game came. It started off very strong. The team scored a goal in the first half of the game. They did a great job at holding them back. Then, we had an upset. The other team came back and made two more goals. We were down 2-1. Then my son makes this amazing pass. He went down the side. He went through a bunch of guys. The last box right before a goal, a boy fell on him. My son still had the ball and he kicks it to the middle and another boy from our team put it in. So, the other child got the glory. We tied up 2-2. Then at the last minute, one child was all alone with the goalie and popped it in. So, we lost 3-2, but what an amazing game.
One last thing, Morristown parents are not nice. At the end of the game, we asked the other parents if we could make a tunnel altogether, you know to show team spirit. They wouldn't do it. This town is the first town to do that. So, thumbs down for Morristown, NJ.

Parents who watch their kids play sports get way too involved.....like THEY are the ones in the game. It's too bad they have to ruin it for everyone

What's up with not making a tunnel? I don't get it. Does it have to be THAT competitive?
