Oct. 6, 2008 - My Weekend Report
My older son had the elections for his FIRST Lego League team on Friday. My son was elected to be the Lead Researcher. There has been a debate about what weather problem to deal with. One child states that due to global warming the song birds are not eating up the gypsy moths in our area. We have a gypsy moth problem. My son found information that flooding is the number one weather hazard in New Jersey. However, we found it last week. The one mother is very strong on the idea of gypsy moths. I feel it is not weather related. She will not let up about this topic, but the children will decide and my son will decide on the issue.
My younger son had a tough time on his recreation soccer on Saturday because the team they played was unbeatable. Get this one, they have three children on travelling soccer. We only had two. However, we lost 1-0. It was not a terrible lost because other teams have lost 7-0 against this team. We held them off from scoring other goals.
My computer crashed so I have been without a computer all week.
My younger son's travelling game, they won 4-0. It was nice. My son's travel record now is two wins, two loses, and one tie. We hope that they can win the next game.
