I Have Returned to the KING!

Posted on Jan. 4, 2008 at 10:21 PM

in Poems, Stories and Riddles - Leave a Note

This is a testimony of what the LORD did in my life in the year of 2006. I wrote this poem in this last week. Praise Him for what He has done!

My life was dark
Like the deepest night
When there came along
A great Light.
I was so empty
Like a turned cup
When Someone came along
And filled me up.

I was depressed.
I lived for myself.
The LORD’s precious Word
On my shelf
I scarcely read,
Until one day
He caught my attention
That had gone astray.

I had promised long ago
To serve my King
But now I had wandered
His praises no longer in my heart did ring.
But praise the LORD!
To Him I have returned.
I love HIS Holy Word
That once I had spurned.

Praise the LORD!
I have returned!

To the KING be all the glory!
