Awards and Playing Church

I the last few months I have been awarded blogging awards by several people. I am sorry that I did not link to anyone, but I did not have time.

Jocelyn and Amanda Dixon and Mandy awarded me the Blogger Reflection Award. Thank you very much. I am very honored that you chose me.

Here are the bloggers who I am giving this award to. If I award you go here to find out what to do. I know there are many more out there who deserve this award, but I can only give it to 5 people:

Heather (pianolove): I only recently found this blog, but I already really enjoy it. Heather has a way of making you think. Her blog has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Virtuous Maidens: I love to visit this blog as well. Lois always post very thought provoking, Godly posts.

Brielle (BrielleCostumes): Brielle has a great blog! Very interesting and educational. She often writes posts about clothing in different eras or in movies. Her latest post centers around the costumes in The Pirates of the Caribbean.

Alicia (Walkbyfaith): Alicia has a very unique blog! She covers a variety of topics. She talks about every day life, what she believes, she has quizzes... and more!

Rose: This young lady is very sweet and often makes me think more in depth about things that I otherwise would lightly pass over.

Rachel Dixon and Eyebright gave me the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award. If I award you, you are in turn to award 5 more people and you can put the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award (on my sidebar) on you blog. Here are the 5 people I wish to give the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award to:

Amanda Dixon (SuperAngel): I love to read Amanda’s blog! She posts about every day life and the books she has read. She truly shows through what she writes, that she is trying to follow God in every area of her life. She leaves very sweet comments as well.

Jocelyn Dixon: I always love to read Jocelyn’s blog. She is so sweet and her blog has a wonderful Godly atmosphere. She always leaves very sweet comments.

Amanda Read (SincerelyAmanda): Amanda’s blog is so pleasant to visit! She writes about things she believes and life in general.

Ally (hskubesgal): Ally is such a sweet blogger! She writes in such a sweet way about everything that her blog is a pleasure to read.

Mandy (MandyGrace): I really enjoy Mandy’s blog! She always has something interesting or instructional to read.

Rachel Dixon was the third person to award me with the Blogging With A Purpose Award. Thank you Rachel. You are so sweet! I already awarded 5 others in my post "Thank You One and All" post.

The other day my parents went out on a date... Which meant that I was left to watch my three younger sisters. (Okay, Bethany needs very little “watching”! ;) ) After eating dinner in a boat (made out of two couches pushed together) with several teddy bears as companions, we decided to play church. We had a wonderful time dressing up in shawls, bonnets, and jewelry, putting our hair up and deciding which dolls would be our children. I played the piano for our church service. We sang songs such as: Amazing Grace, Come Thou Fount and Kum Ba Ya. After “church” we all went to “Mrs. Relance’s” (alias my sister Bethany) sitting room for cheese sticks and smoothies. After that we went to bed. Just a taste of what my summer has been like. ;)

Just so you all know, my summer vacation from blogging is not officially over yet. I hope to come back in September or so. For now I am just “visiting”.  Thank you all for your wonderful comments! I love receiving them!

First of all I want to say how honored I am to have been the featured blogger on the Backyard this past week. Thank you very much to those who bestowed this honor on me.

Secondly I want to thank Amanda Read and Alycia for giving me the Blogging with a Purpose Award. I am very honored. In my turn I am to give this same award to five other people. Some of those that I give this award to I am aware have already received this award, but I am going to give it to them anyway.

1. Amanda or SuperAngel I have been reading Amanda’s blog for almost a year now. She is a very sweet girl and she has been a great encouragement and inspiration to me. She writes about her life, what she is learning in school and what she the Lord has taught her. She shares prayer request’s and praises.

2. Jocelyn Dixon I only became acquainted with Jocelyn a few months ago, but I love to read her blog. She is as sweet a girl as her sister. She has often inspired me. She is an excellent writer. Her poems, her life stories, her essays and what God has taught her are all written equally well.

3. Coie Coie’s blog is a very pleasant place to visit. She is lively and interesting. She writes about everyday life in her home in Tennessee.

4. Bethany This is my younger sister. She posts very pretty pictures, most of which she takes herself. She especially loves nature and shows this though her beautiful photographs.

5. Rose Rose likes to post about a variety of topics. She writes about flowers, books she has read, etc... Her blog has a very cheerful atmosphere.
